Probably took a bit to get the adds on there but when I go to your hub the adds are showing at the bottom now.

    Hey Kmackey,

You have two separate text capsules at the top of the hub and neither of them have enough text in them for the ads to be triggered.

However, there are ads on the hub. One at the bottom, beneath the picture, before the "vote up or down" buttons and at the very bottom.

Is that bad? lol Its best to have adds at the top isnt it?

Usually, the "block of ads" that are triggered by the first text capsule is and has been always considered prime real estate for adsense ads.

If you combine the first two text capsules into one, keeping the paragraphs separated, then it should do the trick. wink

            Okay, here try this Kmackey.

The last few sentences of your second paragraph, make a new paragraph.

Please also, delete all the spaces you have at the end of the text capsule, so it eliminates the white space between your text capsules.

This portion of text- I do not use it at this time. In the future if I was to have a medical issue I hope it could be an option. I do not believe the government should have the right to deprive people of an option that may help someones medical conditions. make a paragraph of it's own in the text capsule and then it should trigger it. The empty spaces, do not add value to the text capsule and will not trigger the ads.

I deleted the empty text capsule but still no adds at the top...hmmmm

Combine that list into the first capsule. Also use the bullet list to format it rather than those hyphens.

BTW you have a number of minor spelling and grammatical errors, the most egregious being that you misspelled the name of the substance you are trying to promote.

"Sites with Google ads may not include or link to:

Illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia content"

Cannibis is ilicit in many countries...

Maybe Cannibis is the "exception" because it is medicinal? I dunno, just throwing food for thought.

I have a hub about growing medical marijuana and its ads are disabled. Yet I have seen loads of hubs about marijuana where the ads are enabled? I give up!

Is it possible that the ads on it are HubPages ads only and the spaces are where the Google ads would have been?

The ads will go when someone notices.  Even though it is legal in narrow circumstances for some states, Adsense does not allow it.

    In the Help section which is part of policies for Hubs, reads this section;

AM I ALLOWED TO CREATE HUBS ABOUT DRUGS?
You may not publish Hubs that sell, promote the sale, or link to sites that promote the sale of herbal, prescription or illegal drugs, or drug paraphernalia. This prohibition may include drugs that have medicinal purposes, or are decriminalized or legal in some jurisdictions. If you are unsure if your drug-related Hub is ok, please contact us for clarification before publishing your Hub.

Seems rather straight forward and clear to me.

OK but Im not promoting any sale or linking to any site that promotes the sale so I would think i am ok, dont you?

I believe you should be fine with this. I read the policy, then I read your Hub, then I read the policy, again.

When I viewed the Hub, there were ads on it. I feel that the Hub should have no issues, unless someone decides to flag it or if the Amazon ads become an issue to HQ policy.

No. Saying it is good for you and should be legal is promoting it. You hub is against Adsense terms of Service and I would suggest you mark it 'no ads' now rather than wait for Hubpages to notice.

    Good luck with that smile

Mine has loads of Amazon capsules now, but before it didn't, so it didn't link to the sale of anything, but the Google adsense ads used to sell the seeds!!

That great God Google who says you can't link to anything selling something that might be illegal, actually carried the ads for the seeds.

Mind you, I think owning cannabis seeds is legal everywhere, because they contain no cannabinoids. So maybe if you link the seeds to an article about how to grow the seeds, I can see that it might be risky.

So I am happy that Google took their seeds for sale adverts off my hub!

I had written a Hub about electronic cigarettes being claimed to not be as safe as a lot of people think they are (so I wasn't encouraging the use of them at all).  Also, they don't include tobacco, so I thought that was fine.  Somewhere along the way I got nervous about even discussing "smoking" (which isn't smoking anyway because it's water vapor with those).  So for awhile I unpublished it.  Later, after seeing it sit there unpublished, I figured it was fine and just published it again. I had decided I was being too cautious and just put it back.  It was one that did well, but I really can't be bothered getting into emailing about one Hub or another; so anyway, it was back up.

Not long ago I did get the email that it "appears to be about tobacco", and I just took it down.  Technically, the Hub is both anti-smoking AND hinting at being anti-"vaporing", so it was essentially promoting not doing either.

I know I could have emailed and maybe gotten this essentially anti-"vaporing" Hub cleared (although commenters were often pro-vaporing/anti-smoking).  I just figured it's not worth it.  Even if HP were to clear something like that, if Google got the drift of something "iffy" there's the chance there'd be issues with having the Google account closed; and I don't want to have to worry about then trying to make a case with Google (because I've heard it isn't all that easy a thing to win).

I just figure, as long as I'm being paid by HP and/or Google for Hubs/articles, I may as well be cautious about TOS and just steer clear of any "iffy" subjects.  To me, they aren't worth getting into problems over.  If any of them were all that important to me to write about, I'd figure out where else I could write about them.  I know that's the "easy and safe way out", but it's only how I operate on Ad Sense sites - not how I operate in writing (or life) in general.

(Of course, the other side to that was that I've seen tons of ads that I wasn't thrilled having associated with my pages - but I've blocked a lot of that kind of stuff that I find a lot seedier than vapor-producing "you-know-what's".)
