Why wouldn't you? I'm thinking about doing that with one of my hubs.
I'd like to hear others experience about writing books from their hubs.. I'm looking into this
I've been thinking about doing this myself, so likewise, I'm curious. I don't think it'd be an extremely difficult process, but I wouldn't know where to even begin.
I am thinking of ebook through amazon kindle.
I have 5 ebooks from hubs and Business Insider articles under my real name, Gary Anderson
I don't know if my hubs are good enough to make into a book ....but.....would you self publish? how would you publish?
go to amazon and search kindle and then look for how to publish a kindle ebook. they give you very specific instructions there. As I learn more I will tell you more. Good luck to you.

Thankyou! I'm not sure if my material is good enough....but I'd like to see yours when it's done!! good luck w/ your success!!
Get Sandy Mertens, a hubber and Giant Squid to do it for you.
I published a book based on - but not a copy of - a hub - and i now obviously promote the book on my hub http://lissie.hubpages.com/hub/Vacation … t-and-Tips
I wrote a short version of how to self-publish as my latest hub - and there is more info on my blog (see my profile).
Basically I would have thought a hub along is too short - my book is about 20k words - my hub about 2k - but you could certainly string a group of hubs together.
You need a decent cover design, and to spend some time editing and formatting so your book looks good - but personally I think Amazon's kindle and smashwords.com (for distribution to sites such as Apple and B&N ) is one of the most exciting thing that has happened to writers - ever really.
I've thought about doing that for awhile, but I've met quite a few people that has gone that route and ended up not selling anything. That's what I worry about. I have a lot of articles about Oklahoma that I'd love to put into a book, but I'm still up in the air about it.
Hopefully you've had good sales through Amazon. Thanks for the information - it gives us something to think about.
I have not done it through Amazon yet but thinking about it. I don;t think you have to put money out to do an ebook. Hope you can do something with yours. Good luck to you.

I've sold about a dozen copies in a couple of weeks - that's the beginning - I can guarantee that you won't sell anything if you don't publish anything. Its just the same as websites or hubs - you need to write a book want to read and promote it
Thanks Lissie! I am beginning to realize what you are saying. Got to start singer where eh.
I have sold 104 ebooks through Amazon and some through borders and Ipad. I had Sandy Mertens put them on Smashwords, and then on Kindle. I used hubs and articles from Business Insider where I contribute as a labor of love.
It is slow season for ebooks right now. They will pick up, especially non fiction.
I publish under my real name, Gary Anderson
A friend of mine owns a company that publishes books. The price is competitive, and you get to keep all the royalties. Send me a message if you want more info.
Could anyone honestly tell me, if you don't mind bothering to, if my hubs that speak about depression and bipolar would be good enough to put into a self help book and if people would read something like that....

Is there a benefit to waiting to publish your hub?Is there a benefit for waiting for your hub score to become higher before hitting the publish button? I noticed if it takes awhile to get everything arranged that sometimes the hub score starts to climb. Is there any benefits until waiting until it...

After 6 months on the site i've started the really wonder how many backlinks is a reasonable number to any hub, and really to a hub becoming successful? Or is it simply a lottery. What kind of figures do other hubbers consider?

If there are any professional, published authors here on hubpages (and I'm sure there are tons of you guys) I was wondering if someone could tell me if self-publishing is good or bad, and maybe give a couple of pros and cons. It would be my first book.

How much time at a stretch have you gone without publishing a hub and why?

Someone recently stated that there are limits to how much you can link to your own hubs. Does anybody know the limitations?

For months I published no hubs and my hubber score sat around 96, in the last month I published three hubs, all of which are featured and each time I published one my hubber score dropped by two points, it's now down to 90. Is this how HP rewards us for our hard work? Correct me if I'm wrong but...
