Obama and Democrats playing race card with lawsuit, immigration reform push

In May, when I spoke at the “Stand With Arizona” rally in Tempe, Ariz., I was chided by national media outlets for saying, “America, this is our Alamo. Be ready to fight for everything that is precious to you.” The controversial remark drew hate mail in Spanish and ridicule by leftist media outlets. The mainstream media generally dismissed the event. Why?
The political left regularly condemns people for judging others, yet hypocritically dismisses the people of Arizona as bigots for enacting a law to defend themselves. They have called for national boycotts. President Obama has even weighed in, as has his attorney general, Eric Holder, who condemns the 12-page bill as racially motivated and illegal before admitting that he has never even read it. What is the law all about?

D-Ohio.”
• Those who attended tea parties last April thought they were protesting the massive increase in the deficit caused by the various bailouts and the $786 billion "stimulus" bill. Actress and activist Janeane Garofalo thought she knew better. "This is not about bashing Democrats. It's not about taxes," Ms. Garafalo told MSNBC host Keith Olbermann, who apparently agreed. "It's about hating a black man in the White House."
• When people in town hall meetings decry "socialism," they're really using a code word for the N word, said MSNBC "newsman" Carlos Watson.
• After a town hall meeting at which most in attendance angrily opposed the health-care bill, Rep. John Dingell, D-Mich., told MSNBC: "The last time I had to confront something like this was when I voted for the civil rights bill. At that time, we had a lot of Ku Klux Klan folks and white supremacists and folks in white sheets and other things running around and causing trouble. I see they are still at it"
• African-American lawmakers blast budget plan as step back for civil rights

Black lawmakers on Monday said GOP-proposed budget cuts would move the country in the opposite direction of the civil rights movement.
The lawmakers, all members of the Congressional Black Caucus, used the last day of Black History Month to argue the GOP-backed cuts would fall hardest on black Americans.
"It's really especially poignant that this year during Black History Month, the Republican leadership has proposed a budget for fiscal year 2011 that will fall most heavily, mind you, on the backs of the most vulnerable in our society: African Americans, Latinos, and poor, those who have been shut of the American dream," said Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.), who described the cuts as ill-timed and destructive.
"At a time when we should be remembering and uplifting the accomplishments and contributions of African Americans, to the history, culture, civil rights and economy of America, we are literally during this month debating steps that will severely undercut and undermine that legacy," she said.

During the 2008 presidential election, a journalist from the Washington Post named
Spencer Ackerman tried to corral journalists from publications like Time, Politico, the Huffington Post, the Baltimore Sun, and several others for the purpose of protecting Barack Obama from a "swirling controversy" involving his disavowed pastor Jeremiah Wright.
On a private discussion board, Acherman told fellow journalists it was time to deflect attention away from Obama by calling conservative commentators like Karl Rove and Fred Barnes racists whenever they discussed Jeremiah Wright's controversial sermons. Important to note, their strategy wasn't about healing the racial divide, but using race a blunt instrument to secure an advantage for the Democrat Party
• ABC News' Teddy Davis Reports: Florida Democratic Congressman Alcee Hastings pointed to Sarah Palin on Wednesday to rally Jews to Obama.
"If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention," said Hastings. "Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through."
• Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) on Friday strongly suggested that members of Congress are making it difficult for President Obama to raise the debt ceiling because of his race.
"I do not understand what I think is the maligning and maliciousness [toward] this president,” said Jackson Lee, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus. “Why is he different? And in my community, that is the question that we raise. In the minority community that is question that is being raised. Why is this president being treated so disrespectfully? Why has the debt limit been raised 60 times? Why did the leader of the Senate continually talk about his job is to bring the president down to make sure he is unelected?”
"I am particularly sensitive to the fact that only this president — only this one, only this one — has received the kind of attacks and disagreement and inability to work, only this one," said Jackson Lee from the House floor.
"Read between the lines," she continued. "What is different about this president that should put him in a position that he should not receive the same kind of respectful treatment of when it is necessary to raise the debt limit in order to pay our bills, something required by both statute and the 14th amendment?"

"I hope someone will say that what it appears to be is not in fact accurate," said Lee. "But historically it seems to be nothing more."

All these are Quotes by Obama and are in Obama’s books. I googled Dems play race card and found these and hundreds of other hits that I did not read. When I googled Repubs play race card, do you know how many articles and quotes there were, NONE. There were many articles saying the Repubs need to fight back instead of lay down when the Dems play that card. I thought for sure I would find something the Repubs said about Obama since so many claim the Repubs play that card. Just another Dem talking point is all it is.
