Duplicate Content?

   I have several hubs about various quotations. All have been published without problems, yet since the change of subdomains 3 of these same type of hubs (on different subjects or different authors) have been flagged as duplicate. The quotes on all of the hubs under this subject are found from a variety of sources.

      Add an introduction on the subject and some of your own thoughts  on these quotes.. that is how my only hub on quotes is above duplication.. Hope this helps

         I always write an intro at the beginning of each hub on quotes so that they will be different, just like you, yet this still happened. Thank you for your reply.

            The majority of the text in your Hub should be completely original text. We generally don't allow quote collections for this reason.

               I've got the same problem, but I am quoting from the Bible. There is no way to talk about the Bible, and not quote from it. If you are, then there's a problem. This seems a lot like censorship. Computers don't understand these things, that's why an actual human needs to review these.

                  Just give chapter and verse, not the scripture itself, and you should have no problem.  Anyone interested in your viewpoint may easily find the referenced verses either from their own book or on the internet.
                  
                  I've witnessed entire hubs with only a small amount of original content because believers plagiarize their holy books instead of posting their own work.  You didn't write the bible yourself, I assume?

                     It's not Plagiarizing if you reference where it comes from. If you are speaking about the Bible, should I not have the option to quote from it? And as for us believers not posting our own work, you are correct. I believe it to be God's work. Perfect in every way. Why would I try to come up with something else?
                     It's better than an article on fixin' your RV or Redneck stuff, I'm trying to help people who may want to be pointed in the right direction in the Bible.

                        You will be okay if you have more original content than quotes. There is no point just quoting scripture and not explaining what you think it means.
                        
                        Hubpages says it must be original. If the same quotes are published again and again and again none of them will get much attention; anyone can read the Bible, anyone can download it online for free.
                        
                        Actually, it's no better than fixing your RV...some people need that help.

                        Too bad for you, Ty.  Merely because YOU think your novel is your god's work doesn't make it so.  I could say the exact same thing about Mein Kampf using your excuse. 
                        
                        Merely because you were indoctrinated into some religious cult at an early age (I would wager you are a fundamentalist since you reside in Florida) doesn't mean you are allowed to post duplicate material here at will.
                        
                        And I don't expect you to come up with something else.  Your mind has been trained not to by those who crushed your free will early on.  I would also wager you have no idea who composed your novel and rely on hearsay for your evidence of its beginnings.  Feel free to show me different.

      At this point I have my doubts as to Google's ability to distinguish between what is, or is not, the best example of good content.
