Hey all, new to hubpages, I've been blogging for about 2 years now and racked up a small following and now I'm challenging myself to write 100 hubpages in 30 days. So far I have 4 with a 5th one on the way. Would love to dive into this community connect with some interesting people.

Welcome to HubPages, but I strongly recommend you ditch that challenge!

HubPages doesn't encourage challenges which involve large numbers of Hubs in a short period, because quality is more important than quantity.  They ran a 100 Hubs in 30 Day Challenge a couple of years ago and it was a disaster, with lots of half-baked Hubs being produced.

You may have the ability to do it, but others may be tempted to join you, and produce substandard work as a result.

Why not join the 30 Hubs in 30 Days challenge which gives you the advantage of publishing a link to each Hub as you write them, in the Challengers thread.

Looking at your Hubs, they're a reasonable length but you're going to run foul of the overly promotional filter if you link to the same website from every single one.  Either mix it up (e.g. link to one of your other sites on alternate Hubs) or don't link all of them.

    Welcome!
100i  30 days is a challenge- just make sure that the quality does not slip or it wont be worth doing. Don't forget that HP does not allow duplicate content so if the article has been published elsewhere on the Internet, take it down before you write it as a hub.
I would take some time to visit the learning centre and read the rules etc which have been substantially revised in the last few months.
Other than that, good luck, hoping that you achieve your goal!

I think I can write 100 quality hubs in 30 days, but I won't sacrifice quality for quantity. If I don't make it, I don't make it. It's more of a writing exercise. While I do thing the earnings potential of Hubpages is cool, I think that cutting my teeth here will help improve the overall content of my blog.

Also, thanks for the tip! I'm trying not to be overly promotional and will alternate in the future.

Is it just one Richard or both of you are Richards? Or is it just one person with 2 heads? That probably explains 100 hubs in 30 days challenge. (Just kidding) big_smile

That is one pretty good challenge that you challenged yourself doing and I know that your doing it for the sake of blogging.

Welcome aboard, I'm also new so I don't know how mine is going to work out?

Welcome to Hubpages, iwillescape!  I did the 30hubs in 30days challenge on my first month here on Hubpages.. it was tough for me but I finished it.  It gave me incentive to write everyday.  I also joined the April hub challenge that put my number of hubs written over a hundred.  Challenging yourself is a good thing.. go for it and good luck!
