What are the technical steps to creating the summaries to hubs. Specifically I am trying to find out how to access the summary box so I can write the summary for my hubs. Can anyone tell me how?
Thanks,
JT
You have 149 hubs and you want to now know how to write a summary?
Looked around in the learning center and didn't find a good explaination for that. Hopefully someone can give you a hand with it. I'm not sure how to answer ,plus I'm on my phone and its hard to type.
Edit : In edit mode look to the right see the box that says reorder, settings, tags summary, group? Click on summary and then write a brief summary also called a meta tag of the hub.
******Look below ezhang gives a better option YAY!!!!

Hi JT Walters,
If you click on the icon at the bottom of the Hub Statistics page, there should be a popup explaining the process.
Click on the bottom of the screen where you see:
A = missing summary
This will bring up a explanation for creating summaries. I hope this helps!
Thanks during the storm when we are lock in doors all day it will gve me some time to work on my summaries. Thank you.
All My Best,
JT
That's if you still have electricity. Stay safe
Thanks Izzy,
We are having tropical storm conditions but we can make do with whatever because we are well prepared for this storm. Thanks for your kind words. A few days without electric and we will be okay.
I did one summary now 149 to go. Thank you again.
JT
If you don't mind me saying so, I had a look at your hubs and they are bit on the short side. If I were you, and no I am not a published author so don't hate me, I would increase each hub length by at least 100 words, and when you are writing those summaries, make sure you add your main keywords which are the words you used in your title and url.
That tropical storm could easily upgrade at a moment's notice. Stay safe

Is anyone else afraid of adding summaries to their hubs?In general, my hubs that have a summary do not do as well as my hubs that do not have a summary. All of my best hubs do not have summaries. I know it is suggested to add a summary to every hub but this makes me afraid...

I'm wondering if there's any way the "summary" button can be made more obvious when editing a Hub. Once upon a time, the summary was calculated automatically but now, it's not. Having no summary can really impact on traffic, so it's really important to complete it - but the...

It would be really nice if the Summary Ap had a Character Limit Counter like on twitter so you don't lose the latter part of your text when "Done Editing", then have to go back to cut the text to the required limit.

Is this common? On the Google results page, just under the title of my hub, Goodle is using the first sentence of the hub instead of the summary. (Yes, the summary is there on the hub, I checked.) Are summaries just wishful thinking on my part? Is this just more of Google playing hard to get and...

I'd only recently found out about the summary feature on hubs a few weeks or months back. I have added summaries to a number of hubs and it seems to help their hubscore immediately and SERPs after about two weeks or so.Anyway, not all of my hubs have summaries and I don't really know, at this...

My goodness, I have read oh so many forums trying to figure out why my once flourishing hubs suddenly took a devastating nosedive. I have learned a lot from others comments & shared experience. I have also recognized that there seems to potentially be a number of possible reasons why many hubs...
