I really want to start thinking about backlinking since I now have a few hubs under my belt. I have spent so much time fixing mistakes (learning opportunities), that I am now convinced it is much easier to do it right the first time. So the question is: If I wanted to start writing smaller articles at other sites, what would be the top one or two sites that you would recommend that I start with?
Info Barrel is one great place to write for a PR 4 site
Squidoo ..but I find it a little difficult to navigate and write there..
Redgage is great to write blurbs to banklink your articles ..you can use my referral link on my profile page for both ..
I am not so happy with the others I tried out..
But there is also thisisfreelance by thisisoli .. I haven't used the site you could check it out..
Thank you for your response. I will check them out!
Depends on your definition of smaller. You can do really short blurbs on Snipsly. Used to on Xomba but I dont know what they're up to now, plus their backlinks are only dofollow for a few hours after posting the article, at chich point they become nofollow. You can post on sites owned by other hubbers such as the aforementioned ThisIsFreelance, or ryankett's Excerptz or my own one WriterParty. Or heck, post on all of em, preferably.
Thank you also. I just might have to do that

I started about 7 weeks ago and have been publicizing/backlinking most of my hubs through the bookmarking sites SheToldMe, Snipsley, Xomba and Redgage.Does anyone think (or know) whether Google, as part of its new ranking system, will now be penalizing pages linked to from sites such as these...

IzzyM and I have been chatting about backlinking, and disagreeing on what's the best way to go about it. She's been spending hours backlinking her Hubs on social bookmarking and backlinking sites, because she feels that's been recommended on the forums by Hub gurus. I'm not at all sure that's...

There are many websites that allow you to post an article which can be reprinted by others and meanwhile your link will be included. So as a result, more backlinks are created for you. Isn’t right? Dose the hubpages allow hubbers to submit hub in some article submission site, e.g....

Hello Hubbers! I'm fairly new to HubPages, I've been here about a week now and love the community so far! Anyway, I was thinking, since we all have the same goal; to make money, get readers and help people, I thought I would make a topic for us all to discuss the best places to post our HubPages...

There is a lot of bad SEO (search engine optimization) advice out there, and the use of automated services that procure backlinks to your Hubs is one particularly egregious example. Using services to get backlinks can result in your Google AdSense and/or HubPages account permanently banned. Yes, we...
