   Does anyone have their hubs corrected by an editor? If so how did you find your editor? How much do you pay for a page? Is there anyone that you could recommend?

   I see so many websites with misspelled words..sometimes I email the webmaster..it doesn't seem to hurt their sales..

      I immediately mark down the credibility of a page with spelling mistakes. Then make silly mistakes on my own. I need an editor!
      
      In fact, if Hubpages felt inclined, they could offer a service that put editors in touch with users. Get some freelance editors to sign up. Let users rate them. Give some feedback on efficacy. Boost the whole site.

   I read an article once about how to find great, undervalued stuff on eBay and other auction sites by searching for misspellings, so I'd have to say I am inclined to agree with you.

   Will, check out my profile page.  I have not kept the linked blog up-to-date, but the information in it is still correct, and it may interest you.  I know a number of Hubbers who have offered editing services in the past, some for free, some for a fee.  You could probably run a forum search in the search box and locate several good names.

      Thanks for that. I will give it some serious thought. My mistakes are usually fairly minor except when I try to write about technical issues- then they can become significant.
      
      I think I usually mop up the bulk of the problems, after re-reading, a month down the line. A month is the distance I need but a month is a long time for silly mistakes to be ruining a page.

   I used to do editing professionally, but I don't know that I have time now. I'm glad to see that spelling is important, and I hope grammar is, too. I probably need to check my own hubs. Sometimes I get in a hurry and make typos.

   Better to worry about driving traffic. No one reading hubs, who cares about the spelling.

   Many human online readers are skimmers and will read the review or recommendation as a whole and might not even notice a spelling mistake or typo. If they want to buy something they will and not because of a spelling mistake....
   
   Having said this though, it's good to spell check twice and look for errors either yourself or get someone else to look over your article as them Damn typos are little devils!

      I write book reviews, because I love to read. I find that they are always the lowest scored hubs I have, once the initial buzz wears off and people comment on them for a few weeks. I try to stay with books that appeal to both sexes as much as possible. People like to discuss books they have read that I have written about, but I am thinking of moving my book review hubs elsewhere. Does anyone know what sites may be best?

    I am my own editor on HubPages.  Which is why I am always looking for errors long after my Hub is posted.  The only editors I work with are magazine editors.  As a writer, I am at the mercy of those editors who hack my work, but pay me for my articles.  At the same time, I hate waiting on them.
