How do we stand on God's promises

   The best way to stand on god's promises is to always take him at his word.  Life bring situations that may want us to stop believing that God is with us, but we must stand firm on His words that plainly say, "I Will Never Leave You Nor Forsake You".  He promises to watch over his word to perform it. So whenever you feel lonely or sad, open the Bible and start reminding God what his word promises you.  If doubt comes to your mind, quickly find passages of faith. When that is hard to do then buy some gospel tapes that lift up your spirits, then continue to release that joy by reading the book of psalms.

      You have to understand the word of God is never-ending and will not return to him unfulfilled.  Jeremiah 29:11 lets us know that not only does he have plans for us, he has an expected end for us.   We have to believe that nothing that we deal with is bigger than or greater than the word and the promise of God.  If we can grasp that, then we know that the season of challenge that comes in whatever form it comes in, doesn't last and that the word of God is eternal for all of us.

      What the New Testament writers were attempting to explain was something "new," the "new and living way" (Heb. 10:20) of the "new covenant" (Heb. 8:8) with the "newness of life" in Christ Jesus (Rom. 6:4). The Greek word charis was the best available and convenient word to try to explain this living reality of Jesus Christ.

   One of the best ways I can see to become an atheist is to expect God to stand by His word.
