      That is a rather random topic.  That's like me starting a topic saying 'Why do people watch American Football?' and then following it up by saying it's just a load of people playing rugby with padding!  Or saying 'Why do people knit?' and be saying that it's a lot easier to buy clothes.
      
      Edit: Before American Football fans/knitters get offended that was just an example.

   Since I happen to *like* caviar (from when my job took me to functions that served it), I'll eat it because it's delicious.  If you've never tried it, or only had the fake stuff, then you probably won't get past that it's fish eggs.

   I'm not a lover. Tried it. But - I'm not a fan of sea food or shell fish stuff either. And as Jama says - there is a difference twixt the real deal and crappy stuff.

   I lived witrh Russians for awhile and one Morning for Breakfast we had on the same plate Sea Urchins, cut up, with Poormans Caviar, that is the red one not the Black. I know the black comes from the Sturgeon, but not sure where red is aquired, with prunes stewed with sugar and cold custard./
   They wiped up the fishy custard mess with slices of Black bread a Cossack favourite, I washed it down with Vodka, to kill the taste.
