Amazon law repealed - Californians rejoice?

      Interesting article from the PMA, and it may actually do some good to get "the other side of the story" out to whoever will read it.  It's not all about greedy states and big companies, as we on HP know and understand.

    Sounds like this is only temporary, and from what I saw on TV-- the governor was pleased that it will mean more tax money for the state.

      Oh it is - in one year it goes back into effect.  The hope is that by then the federal government would address the issue and proclaim that all companies will have to collect for all states and the law becomes moot.

    California were pretty much strongarmed in to this.  The promised an extra 190 million in Tax revenue, instead they saw a projected fall in taxes by around the same amount. This is before even considering the loss of money entering the state which many people relied upon.

    There has also been a lot of pressure from businesses, especially affiliate business, that suffered immensely because of this.

    So I wonder does this mean people in california will be able to enter into the amazon affiliate program sometime soon?
