I checked the FAQ and I understand I can't change my user name. I searched for forum posts related to my question... didn't find what I'm looking for.
When I started here I posted some hiking hubs -- it was my first adventure in publishing online. This year, I monetized the hubs -- I use Google Adsense, Amazon and just started with HP ads.
In my non-HP writing life I specialize in health articles. I'm considering creating a wider range of content on HP and I'd rather do it under a professional name. The "Hikeguy" identity is fun, but when I chose it, I didn't realize I'd be freelancing full-time. Now I'm looking at making my work on HP an ongoing income stream.
I'm concerned about having problems with Adsense if I start publishing under another name here -- I did a search before posting this, and the reports of people losing Adsense were disturbing. I don't want to risk looking as though I'm doing something shady.
I'd like to hear from people who have more than one HP account -- are there any potential problems? Thanks!
-- Trent
Many of us have two or more accounts, including myself. No problems I've ever seen except that Hp likes us to use just one name in the forums and it is easy to forget and post when signed into the wrong account. No biggie.
Thanks, Wilderness -- That's good to hear. I figure it's better to establish a new name now -- I only have 15 hubs so far. I'm guessing the new account starts with no reputation -- that's the one downside.
Oh it can get a reputation. In your profile place who you really are, like I did on my second account. They will follow or find you. Also ask Maddie to ban your second account from the forums, to eliminate you coming in and trying to post. Been there did that and I forgot who I was because this is my main account. There are hubbers out here that will stomp there feet and pound there fists when you do that. One believes we are adults, but not always. lololo! I wish you all of the best on your new account.
Been there did that. lololo! I had them ban my other account from the forums because I honestly did forget it.
I have considered getting a second account but never get around to doing it. It seems too much hard work developing a new account from scratch when I have a well established one going strong
AEvans -- Thanks for the suggestion. I can see how that would be an easy mistake to make. I have separate Twitter accounts for two pen names -- so far, I've kept them straight. Thanks for the good wishes. I'm glad to know your followers found you.
Cashmere -- Yeah, it will be more work. That's why I figure I'd better do it soon. Take the leap while I'm feeling enthusiastic or I probably never will.
From my experience, Adsense likes multiple accounts - no worry on that front.
I use multiple accounts for branding - I believe that is the direction you are headed and it makes sense.
Take the time now - you are right!
I would find it very confusing to have more than one account. When I have specialised in one type of hub, and when they have been on here for some time, or receive little views, I usually delete my account, and start a fresh one where I can write new hubs.
I have several accounts and just started another one for the holidays. I've had absolutely no problems with any of them.

So, I'm starting a second Hubpages account because I really don't want to mix my 'serious' Hubs (religion/philosophy) with my 'how to fishing' Hubs that I want to start. So I have two questions:(1) Can I link my Google adsense account with two Hub accounts?(2) Has anyone who has ever done this had...

Can you link a second HP account to your AdSense account?I was thinking of opening up a new HP account, but was unsure if I had to have a separate AdSense account, or if I can use the same one.

Well, that’s nice, very nice. I haven’t got a clue of what I did wrong. And after filling in the online appeal form they told me they had reviewed my account information, taken my feedback into account, but still had concluded that my AdSense account has posed a significant risk. And I have no idea...

I've read a few times that if you have multiple HP accounts it is best to only use one of them for your forum posts. For anyone with more than one account - does your Hubber score suffer on an account that doesn't participate in the forums, and does it matter?

Can an admin look into my adsense account and connection. I have many articles on niche sites and more than 50 articles. yet bI am back to making what I did over 6 months ago even though my impressions is way higher than ever. This isn't adding up to me. The articles are on 4 different sites here,...

This probably is one of the worse days of my life, after so much effort I have put online, here I stand with my Adsense account disabled due to invalid click activity. I don't have any clue why this happened! I have been here at Hubpages for more than 3 years and make more than 90% of my earning...
