Okay, so May 25th is Africa Day. Big deal. When is Africa going to learn how to stop sucking up to the Western World. Its crazy, everybody, from drug-addicted rock stars to play boy bunnies want to do something for the 'good' of Africa. Its insulting really. The way Africa always demands for these tiny crumbs. Okay, so now we've got AIDS,we've got Darfur,we've got Mugabe and the Zimbabwean situation. What're we commemorating, really? But you gotta love the Second largest Continent on the planet. You gotta love this force of nature. That's what I commemorate! We pump our fist out to the Motherland. Gaa n'ihu Afrika, anyi so gi n'azu!

Are you suggesting that if the "west" simply turned their backs on and ignored the problems in Africa, Africa would be better off?

Fierycj should not have left Somalian pirates, who hijack commercial ships and demand money, keeping innocent sailors to ransom.
If you say west is sucking Africa, it is not the fault of westerners to suck your continent. Your ignorance makes you to lose to others. In Africa itself, why are Egypt and South Africa more enlightened than others?  They are well educated and have learnt a lot from other countries. You have just learnt how you are being sucked... but yet to learn how to stop it.
    However, Good Day, May 25th.

I'm saying that the West should turn their backs on Africa just about as much as they turn their backs on Asia or South America or what not. I'm just saying, none of the superior jungle-fever attitude. Is that too damn much say?

Here's a thought: Instead of bitching about the west why don't you work for change within your country/continent so that it doesn't ASK for outside aide or need it?

It's really easy to bitch about how help is given..that is until that help goes away.

who's bitching? Not me. I don't expect you to get it, anyhow. Perhaps one day you will.

Spare me the "who's bitching" routine. You know darn right well that "bitching" with the intent to inflame others is exactly what your OP was meant for.

You can give up on the 'maybe you'll get it someday' line too. I "got" your posts and your intentions after the third one I read from you.

Why don't you come out from behind your "pot-stirring" facade and be real for a change? I'm sure most people would respect you more for it. I know I sure as hell would.

Calm down, Lisa. You make me out to be an ass. I'm not that bad a guy. Once you get to know me. I'm sure you're great woman. Don't let the forums distract you from discovering the REAL me. Lol. Is only a suggestion, is all.
