I just found out about Alexa and saw it detailed the links to the website. It was fascinating to see that Ask had half of the incoming links as HubPages yet the last Google Panda update had Ask higher in the search engine than HP - hopefully the Google Gurus will correct this mishap.
In regards to analyzing a website, other than Alexa, what other tools, websites can be used freely to analyze a website?
I find SEOquake to be really helpful. It has google, yahoo, alexa and more. Try it out and see if this is what you're looking for. Hope this helps!
Alexa Stats are absolute JUNK. They are manipulated and mean nothing.
NOBODY in the "REAL WORLD" uses Alexa. Only idiotic spammers who think that running up totals artificially will somehow help them do it.
Seriously. Ask the next 100 Real World people you meet to name 3 search engines.
If they can do it, I'd bet less than 1% would come up with Alexa.
The Real World uses Google and Yahoo... and to a lesser extend AOL and Bing in the United States.

After the alleged Google alogrithim update probably after 10 December my traffic has fallen drastically from more then 150 views per day to 50. Traffic was steadily rising but after 10 dec it suddenly plunged showing no signs of recovery. (hubs have remained unchanged).

The new Google Panda update has hurt sites than contain internal links. I have a lot of these, to my own hubs in the same niche. Would it be a good idea to get rid of these?Personally, I like internal links when they lead a reader to a similar topic.

I took a lot of time this year away from Hubpages. The Google Panda update made me rethink my online strategy both here and in my accounting practice. The first leg is now complete as I rolled out my new and improved website. I have a link on my profile page. The next step is to move my blog away...
