    If one knows the history of Islam, one will find that hostility was meted out against the early Muslims by dominant forces in Mecca. Surrounded by enemies, early Muslims had to adopt "reality"...which was that if they wanted to survive, they would have to fight for their place. Muslims/Islam did not create the reality....it was all around them.

    One does not need to be a Muslim to learn about such things..

    Just as with the Bible, the words found within the Quran reflect the period it was written in.

    Tracing through the Bible for statements about God-ordained genocide has already been done countless times.

    If you are a Christian Troubled Man, your hypocrisy knows no bounds.. It is the type of behavior that you display that reminds me why I stay away from organized religion..  If you wish to be less Troubled, think outside the little box that you obviously inhabit...

      No, I'm not a Christian, Mike. I consider Christianity no more valid or credible than Islam and equally violent and hypocritical. smile

    Good for you. There are few things I can't stand more than someone from one religion bashing another for the same thing that has gone on within his or her own faith..

    I do wish to see a day when religious imperialism ends, though I know I will never live to see it. I do admit that it can be an incredibly destructive force. However, Islam in and of itself, is just as violent as the other faiths that it derived from. They are a reflection of the physical/political environment they were created within...the Levant...which has, throughout human history, been a highly conentious region.

    We are the products of our environment, and, as violent as they have been, it makes sense that the big 3 (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) all originated from this region.

    No doubt you will not allow this response to be posted.

    No! It is not negative on Islam; In fact simply because of the meaning of the word Islam, I praise Mohammad.

    However I do not praise those with unclean hands that have been allow to touch, become familiar with, to interpret Sharia, Islamic Law.

    As you know our only knowledge of Mohammad’s Sharia has been past on by word of mouth; No doubt Mohammad recognizing the probability as to the distortion, the perversion of the written word.

    Mohammad knew and believed in the God of the Jew and the Christian, the God of the Jew, and the God of the Christian being none other than Allah, the God of the Islam, Compassion.

    As you know Mohammad believed that the written word, as to the Moral Law of the Jew and the Christian had been distorted, perverted, had become an Abomination; The God of the Jew and the Christian having become a Vengeful God, Harsh, without compassion, the Jew treating the non-Jew as though he and she were a straw dog, the Christian doing the same.

    Because of this perceived abomination of God's Law, Mohammad created Islamic Law, Sharia; All future interpretation of Islamic Law, Sharia, to only be interpreted by those with Clean Hands, by those that the right to be called Compassionate.

    Islam is in the processes of being hijacked because men having Machismo, Fundamentalists, men with unclean hand, Macho Men, Men with a perverted sense of Manliness have been allow to touch, to become familiar with, have been allow to interpret Mohammad’s Islamic Law, Sharia, the Law born of Compassion.

    If you are a Muslim it is in you best interest, it is in Islam’s best interest to take this post to heart.

    Fundamentalism, a perverted, distorted, sense of Manliness,
    Male chauvinism, Machismo.

    Machismo;
    1.    a strong or exaggerated sense of manliness; an assumptive attitude that virility, courage, strength, and entitlement to dominate, are attributes or concomitants of masculinity.

    Chauvinism;
    1.    zealous and aggressive patriotism or blind enthusiasm for military glory.
    2.    biased devotion to any group, attitude, or cause. male chauvinism.

    Women, Men of Islam having clean hands, unite; Reject the perversion, the distortion, the Abomination of Sharia, Islamic Law, as interpreted by the Male Chauvinist Pigs of Fundamentalist Islam.
