Additional confusions...
Hello--
It's me again..the most confused Hubber on the planet.
This time, my puzzle surrounds Hub Scores...I know, in a very general sense, how they work, and how to make them climb.
This one, however, has me stumped. Mind you, I'm in no way complaining..I'm merely...."confused--perplexed--stumped & puzzled."
The hub in question has had its Hub Score rise 17 points....and it is not even published yet!!! It's still in draft form, as I have more photos to take... WOW... (It's not as if it had been published, then taken down to edit some more...this one is brand new, and has yet to be published at all.)
How and why does that happen??? Should I hold additional hubs in draft mode prior to publishing, in the hopes of making their scores rise????? Or was this a glitch, and I should've kept my virtual mouth shut?

That always happens, if you leave it unpublished for a while. Most of mine score about 75 by the time I publish them because they accrue points whilst sitting waiting. I usually never publish a hub on the same day as starting it off - except for today!
There is no need to hold off publishing though, it doesn't really matter what the score is when you hit the button! I just don't have a lot of time, usually

From what I have been able to gather after almost a year is that a hub gathers points when the words that make up the title start to be searched (not the hub itself but the words in the title) and if the words in its title fit a niche category then the points or value of the hub goes up even faster.....

So I publish another featured hub and my hubber score drops again!
For months I published no hubs and my hubber score sat around 96, in the last month I published three hubs, all of which are featured and each time I published one my hubber score dropped by two points, it's now down to 90. Is this how HP rewards us for our hard work? Correct me if I'm wrong but...

I recently got my lowest score ever for a book review on Kate Chopin's novel, The Awakening.Anyone want to give me some feedback? Usually my scores start around 50 and go up as I construct the hub.The entire review is my original writing. I didn't copy any text.
