I used to go to church regularly. After all, I was sent to an all-girls Catholic school and then to a Protestant one with someone rigid doctrines. What made me stop is that the sermons tended to focus on the negative and they made me feel bad about myself.
Now when a pastor tries to get me to go back to church with the line, "Do you believe we are all sinners?" or "We all fall short of the glory of God", I say, "I believe I am magnificence in human form and I am the perfection of life." (borrowed from The Secret to You)
Religion and spirituality are not the same. I am now spiritual, not religious.

What are some reasons why you don't attend or go to a church?I am not looking to argue either side, just curious on some reasons, whether general or very specific experiences, that keep you from attending a church.

THIS QUESTION IS NOT MEANT TO OFFEND ANYONE. IT IS A QUESTION ASKED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. I keep running across posts on this site where Christians refuse to admit what sect they are affiliated with. The general comments include 'I'm not religious, I'm Christian. 'I don't...
