But there appear to be many hubs with similar content. I was writing about my experience with e-cigs and I'm unsure if I should continue if it will only get deleted or get me banned.
You're probably fine, as long as it's not advocating tobacco I'd imagine. I wrote a hub about the truth of cash gifting (in hopes of exposing more), and I got an automated warning because it "seemed like I was promoting cash gifting". I published it, and it was fine -- after a few days, the warning went away. I'd imagine they just reviewed it or something.
_________
I was going to write one about e_cigs too. Good thing I didn't
I don't enjoy spending time writing just to have it banned.
That is as you say an automated warning...it just trips when it traps certain words, if am sure that a mail to the mods would keep your hub afloat...because they read content and clear it when issues like this arise.
Thanks for all your responses!! I will publish it and see what happens.
I not long ago read an excellant hub on how to grow your own tobacco.
It was very informative and as well set out as any magazine article.
Wonder why its on the 'do not publish' list ?
Oops thanks question, that explains why the said was allowed and consequently published.
But it wasnt promoting the selling of it, so its ok.
Automatic content filters pick up "bad" words. To get ads turned back on, it has to have a manual moderator review.
QuestionMaster is right. If your hub doesn't violate the TOS, you will get it reactivated. I have a hub that uses the term "fetishism" and it is automatically flagged, but I emailed them and it was reviewed. It was republished. If your hub really doesn't violate any terms, you will get it republished.
I understand ,but in terms of marketing I wouldn't think tobacco is a bad word.
(Certainly its good for the Government) and like sugar in fat food ,it interests a vast group of people.
The hubs that I mentioned gave instructions on how to grow something, from planting to harvesting,so in that respect ,no T.O.S were not infringed etc.
I don't think you get the point. It doesn't MATTER if it's a good marketing word - it's against Adsense ToS. You can get some nice sales selling sex toys too, but that doesn't mean they're going to change the rules.
If someone wishes to write about it then there are hundreds of affiliates who will allow it - in which case it's probably best for them to start their own website since most rev share sites use Adsense.
Actually I do get it
And I understand the T.O.S very well.
In the hubs I mentioned ,no profit was made ,so its a no brainer really.
Goggle knows sex sells, (or they clearly would not be selling adverts promoting it) however its all the delivery ,another words ,I, you ,we can not obviously write about it.
Tips for a successful marriage for example might have adverts accompanying them for intimate moments.
