Just wondering...who out there is into theatre, besides me? Let's talk!
Theater, Movies, television, radio, you name it. Recently I was in a very successful rendition of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" where I operated a giant mechanical horse (for the Headless Horseman). I was also in "Little Shop of Horrors", "Arsenic and Old Lace", "Kiss Me, Kate", and "Romeo and Juliette" (which I co-Directed). I enjoy Theater as much as filmmaking, but it can be more work. What about you? What plays have you done?
I've done lots. White Christmas, Rumors, Harvey, It's a Wonderful Life, childrens' shows such as "King Arthur's Calamity," etc. etc. I love both acting and directing. love love love it!
Which do you prefer more, live acting or film?
For anyone who has actually done theatre, the appreciation for same becomes more intense. Musical theatre is what I love and it's easier, IMO, because the actor gets to supplement lines with songs. The dramatic acts are more intense. It's a lot to remember, at least for me. There's the fear of forgetting ones lines. If you're working with experienced actors, they can often cover. I haven't done all that much since high school - chorus in 'Carousel' and lead in 'Yankee Doodle Dandy' - some of what they call off Broadway - but the rush of live applause, the sound of the wood underneath your feet, the ghosts of the greats who have gone before, the lights, the costume changes, the makeup, the back stage bustle, the high of a full house and the low of an empty one - there's nothing in the world that compares to a live show whether it's theatre, runway, talk, or being a street mime.
"Yesterday they told you you would not go far.
That night you open and there you are.
Next day on your dressing room they've hung a star.
Let's go on with the show...let's go on with show."
One song that still makes me cry.
"but the rush of live applause, the sound of the wood underneath your feet, the ghosts of the greats who have gone before, the lights, the costume changes, the makeup, the back stage bustle, the high of a full house and the low of an empty one - there's nothing in the world that compares to a live show whether it's theatre, runway, talk, or being a street mime."

I am in love with theater. It's my life. I really enjoy taking trips to NYC to see broadway shows. And speaking of that. My school musical next week is The Drowsy Chaperone- "mix-ups, mayhem, and a gay wedding"
