So i noticed that my CPC (cost per click) on adsense was $.01... And after researching i found that updating your keywords can greatly increase this number. Now i do get a fair amount of traffic to my adsense so i would like to be making more on there than i do through hubpages ad program, but anyways... How do i update my keywords... do I
A- update the title of my hubs to be more appealing on google?
B - Update the tags on my hubs. Do the tags that are on my hubs appear on google or is that only for hubpages to help people searching for my topic. Also my hubs have a lot of tags, is that a bad thing?
I am just curious overall on how to increase the income. I have 24 hubs, that all have a fairly decent amount of traffic, and im seeing increases of money being made on hubpages ad program, but nothing on my google adsense. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm new at this and just kind of throwing darts in the dark, but I'll take a crack at it and see what people who know more than me think.
Both your title and the tags are important to your article getting discovered in search programs. I kind of think of the title as another keyword. The tags, as I understand it, are also keywords that help people discover your article in search engines. I guess more to the point of your question: I would update both your title, if you felt it would increase traffic, and your tags. Hubpages starts to throw up warnings once you get in the ballpark of 20 tags, and I think that's because Google frowns upon more than 20, I'm guessing. And really, if you really feel like you need more than 20 tags, you should probably see if it's possible to break what you've got into two articles.
I don't know if that helps, or if I'm even right about any of that, but just thought I'd take a crack. I'll sit back and see what others have to say.
Best,
Max.
Do people search for the phrases you use in your hub titles??
I think you need to do some keyword research first and also find out about onpage SEO basics.. Use the search box top right to find out how to do both, there are many good hubs on the subjects.
Thank you both of you, I guess i just need to tweak things a bit, and continue on. Overall i was confused and slightly annoyed at first, but things should look up after i tweak my articles and keywords, and titles. Thanks again

And indeed my hub rating, after doing something with my hubs.It may seem like stating the obvious, but I went through all of hubs and put the absolute maximum number of tags that I could before it said "you have too many tags" or whatever it says. When it said that I had too many tags I...

I was just wondering how successful people are with the Hubpages ad program and if anyone had managed to make payout in one day yet. I have yet to earn over $5 in one day from the ad program. How about everyone else?

I thought I knew the answer to this question. But something interesting happened in the last week which I found it hard to explain. I'd be interested to hear opinions.I have a hub which is nine months old and had just reached 250-300 hits per day.I was experimenting to see how many tags I could use...

There has been a lot of discussion in the last few days about HP changing the rules and people being un-featured or even un-published for spam and over promotional activity. So I just want to add my thoughts......Whether people (writers) like it or not most of their traffic will be coming from...

I saw this somewhere but do not know where. I see hubs with a lot more than that.
