Can anyone please tell, how much time it takes to make $100/month.And how many hubs you need to create for that?

You would have to create many "good" hubs.  Before you even get close to $100 and if you also did back-linking and news posts, you'll get there faster.

I think if you publish 1000 hubs and wait for at least ten years you will have made at least 100 dollars.  You're welcome! smile

Quality over Quantity seems to be the rule of thumb around these parts.

You are absolutely right, but you would need allot of quality hubs to reach $100 a month.

Okay, if you take my 46 Hubs and 11 months and do all the appropriate math stuffage, by my calculations it will take around 3 years.  Have fun and happy hubbing.

on some other sites  we can earn more than hub pages.

Especially, if you - like ajmersingh- currently have no hubs on HP... That tends to lower you earning potential significantly.

You definitely need to write more than 2 hubs.

Yes, I agree, 2 hubs is not likely to bring you 100 dollars/month.

In April 20007, I had been writing on HubPages for nine months and had 35 Hubs, and got my earnings up to $100/month.

However, given the changes in the state of web 2.0, the proliferation of content sites over the last several years and your tenuous hub pool, it's my opinion that it's going to take more effort on your part than it did on mine back then.

I am spending 1 hour daily with my HP and 1 hour with my blog. Possibly in a month time I would be able to tell you which one is better.
At the moment, my HP attracts at least 20 visitors without much effort. But blog only 1 or two. But 1000 hub is equals 5000 short posts. I believe blog could be more profitable in the long run. Now this is just an opinion. After a month I will  be able to tell exactly what happened to my experiment.

Well let's see. At the beginning of last month, I had 16 hubs on this account. 1 was doing awesome, 3-5 were doing ok, and the rest were...well, they were experimental hubs anyway so it's ok if they totally failed. Anyway, I made 15$.

I'd need 107 hubs to reach $100 per month off Hubpages ads only.

However, if it could require as many 200 or 300 hubs - or more. There's no guarantee a hub will do well no matter how hard you worked on it.

Of course, if I included my other account, which is more amazon-based, $100 a month would require only 30-200 hubs (depending on luck, topic selection quality, conversion rate, and average commission).

Still, I think if you write 100 GREAT hubs with good content, good amazon placement, good SEO, and you wait a few months for google to start lovin' it, they could eventually earn close to 100$ a month.

Overall, you're looking at the 100 - 300 hubs range.
