How are you this Christmas? A friend asked me when I'm heading to the market. I look at her and replied softly " I guess I'm fine ". I asked her back and she responded me in a hopeful voice " I have one wish for christmas " and off she directed herself to an opposite way.

I guess I'm fine is a half-truth - half-lied answer of mine. How could i be fine if i feel alone, sad and empty? I am away from home, from my family and from my homeland. Half-truth because i am healthy, family are happy back home , job is ok and i am surrounded with caring friends . Inspite of that, i feel less this christmas .

Curious to know my friend's wish for christmas, i texted her and asked about it. She texted me back that all her wish is for her mother to survive from the ICU( Intensive Care Unit ) and celebrate christmas with them.

Here I am, feeling less this christmas for being in a foreign land while my friend find me to have much this christmas. She is right. Less for me but too much to others. Others who are sick and wish to be cured, others who are in jailed and wish to be remembered, others who are homeless and wish to be sheltered, others who are abuse and wish to be free , others who are orphan and wish to have a family to celebrate christmas with. The list are seemingly endless.

Christmas is all about the birth of Jesus Christ , a celebration to be thankful for what we have . Counting the blessings and not of suffering is a best way to have a Merry Christmas. Friends, how do you find this christmas, feeling less or blessed ?

Oh, Really? Make it a bit special, just like your Birthday , your anniversary or your First Date  smile....It brings excitement  !

There's nothing special about a birthday. It's another day out of the year. I don't have any anniversary so that's moot. First dates? I don't date anymore due to other factors.

LOL.... how does it feel when everything is just an ordinary day? Seriously, never in a year , that you find a single day special?

Dear Rainbowbutterfly, I wake up everyday and I maintain a philosophy that since I woke up, everything else is a bonus.

Waking up is special in and of itself. What else can top that? wink
