Anyone reading the Old testament will realise that the god of that book, is a vengeful, violent, murderer. Then all of a sudden, the New testament comes along and he changes to an all loving, forgiving father figure, then, the koran comes along and he changes yet again, to a vengeful, violent, murderer.
Considering these are the three most popular religions on the planet that are supposedly about the same god, why does the New testament stand out like a sore thumb to be complete different from the other two texts?
The koran is perfectly in keeping with the Old testament, so what is with the New testament?
Well, either God evolves, or what people perceive as God evolves.
That would make sense but it would do away with peoples belief that he is never changing.
Also, why would he evolve and then de-evolve back to how he was before?
How is eternal damnation "the New testament comes along and he changes to an all loving, forgiving father figure" any different.
I guess thats true although didnt he sacrifice himself to save us from that?
Seems to my I have to sacrifice myself to save myself from that, that is sacrifice my choice to be somebody else other than Jesus.
There are historians which suggest, that Christ was influenced by Buddhism, as there was trade between the Middle East and the East, even in those days. Certainly some of the sayings of the Buddha are almost word-for-word the same as those of Christ. And there are similarities between the birth stories of the Christ and the Buddha, so there is a real possibility that Christ and the early Church were aware of Buddhism.
The similarities come in the fact that the other religions of the world are basically a perversion of the true religion which was in the garden and here before the flood.
That is obvious by looking into them.
Matter of fact a lot of people hate it, but this is an excellent look at the religious systems of the world, and what they truly are and where they truly come form.

"birth stories". The Buddha was born to rich ruling class family maybe a king, and Christ was the son of a carpenter. So what would these birth stories be?
Yes Joseph was a carpenter, descended from the royal line of David. According to the story of the Buddha, his mother, Queen Maya was told by angels in a dream that she was to give birth to a son. When she told her husband of this, he summoned his wise men to interpret the dream, who decided that it meant the queen would give birth to a world leader.
When the time was near for the birth of the Buddha, Queen Maya decided to travel to her home to give birth.
The birth of the Buddha was a known story in the Hellenistic world. A fragment of the Archelaos of Carrha mentions the virgin birth of the Buddha.

I just read a post from someone stating that Christianity is based on the Bible which stands to reason, "If Christianity is based off the bible then that means it would have never come to furition since the book would never have been written because no Christian would have existed before...

I am not saying this litterally, I just think that the ideas are very much the same. Buddha saved us from desire and Jesus saved us from our sins. The idea is that the early Hindu and Buddhist teaching, spread west and were adapted to fit the culture. In India and China, the Buddhas were...
