The scores go up and down according to traffic and other factors, but is there a score that we should try to keep above?

Yes, your author score should be above 75 and your hubscores should be above 45. Otherwise all your outbound links will become no follow including Amazon and eBay product links.

If you author score drops below 75 all your hubs will be affected.

If your hubscore drops below 45, that particular hub will be affected.

It's 40 you want to stay above, not 45.

I think you mean benchmark minimum score

You´re right. It is impossible to see or leave a low watermark, since that is where the water level would be.

    Thanks,

My hubs are well above that so I guess I´m safe ....for now.

The funny thing is that i´m working on another hub right now. It is unpublished because I have to figure out the image copywrite rules. And yet, I have 32 hits and my hubscore is already 75. How is this even possible?

Your own views of the hub whilst you work on it count as page views.  Hub scores also rise even when the hub is unpublished.  Some people delay publishing their hubs until the score rises so that it goes out above a 45.  Don''t think unpublished hubs get much above 75 though - I stand to be corrected on that.
