Hubpages Traffic Post Panda

   After the last round of panda attacks I decided to do nothing and see how my sites would fair in the new world.
   
   To date, Hubpages is still getting 9 million UVs a day, but I find this site is converting much worse for me than others I write for like Infobarrel and Bukisa.  What gives?

      Converting as in... ad clicks or the amount of traffic you receive?

      Inforbarrel never worked for me. I wrote a few articles on there, but they never recieved exposure in the search engines (very little).
      
      How is inforbarrel doing now? I would not mind writing on there if the exposure is there, but if it's not, my work will be wasted etc..

   Your low Author Score automatically indicates there's something about your Hubs that must be going against the HubPages rules.  All of your outgoing links are going to be marked "no-follow." 
   
   You might want to look into what you are doing wrong that is causing a reduction in score as increasing it to 75 or higher will most likely cause you to get a boost.

      My hubscore was 80+ when I left, now its near 50.  I checked into the account and the only thing I am doing wrong is that I haven't added summaries to my articles.  I have been too lazy to bother.  Is that little detail really what is sinking me?

         A lot of my Hubs are missing summaries (yes I know, lazy) and it's not hurting their score that much, so I don't know.  Maybe if ALL your Hubs don't have summaries, that would do it.
         
         Pre-Panda, if you didn't consciously write a summary, HubPages created an automatic one.  So all your Hubs did have summaries at one time - and now they don't.  So it could be worth fixing them up and see what happens.
         
         The other possibility is that HubPages has tweaked the way scoring is calculated, so something that worked before is not working now.

         If you feel you are too lazy to complete your Hubs then why are you expecting a better score?  Summaries are an important part of the puzzle. No one will have any reason to come and read your Hubs if there is no summary that will attract them. Summaries are used in the listings of your Hubs.
         
         I took a look to see if I could find anything else wrong that you might be doing. I see most of your hubs are in the 40's and 50's. If I were you I'd run through each low scoring hub and work at bringing up their scores. If you don't have time for that then it's best to delete those hubs that are pulling your overall Hubber Score down.
         
         Sometimes we just need to accept that fact that not everything we write works well. Removing the low scoring hubs improves your overall ranking with Google too. I've done that and it works.

   You may want to add summaries to your article. It DID help me, but with your hubscore as-is, it leads me to believe that may not be the only problem.
   
   Some of your recent hubs appear to be well-written, but on the short side. Perhaps by adding a bit more wording, you could be getting more traffic. Also, if you appeal to your readers by adding some more interaction to your hubs like polls, more pictures, etc, readers would spend more time on your hubs and perhaps share them with others.
   
   Since you haven't published in quite some time, your lowered hubscore could be because of that. Not that your hubscore is directly related to your traffic, but maybe doing what you can to revamp your hubs to raise your hubscore will help in the traffic area. I've found that when I fix up hubs of mine that have scores in the 60s or 70s and they end up in the 80s or 90s, they usually also get added traffic over time.
   
   On a side note, you may want to edit your titles to incite a little interest to people on Google search. Instead of "Acorn Chair Lifts", you could do something like, "Why Acorn Chair Lifts Are INSERT_SOMETHING_HERE" or "10 Best Acorn Chair Lifts." This may not only just serve to get interest from searchers, but as-is, Google might see a title like "acorn chair lifts" as keyword stuffing. As a searcher I would think to myself, "What about acorn chair lifts? Is this a review? Is this a list of specs? Is this where I can buy them?"

   I advertised a little over half my hubs today and my traffic which was slightly down from the weekend has risen back to where it has been trending the last few months.
   
   It would have been higher today if I actually completed my full advertising schedule as I normally do. However, life got in the way.
