The rat race is below. It is lonely up above but that is where prestige and stability is. One needs only educational updates and life will have lesser chance of pulling you down to the mundane, and of course there is still the personal assertiveness along with the degrees and honours one gets from the academe. Education is a lifetime process and anyone can get it anywhere based on his choice or "no choice (?)". But the best foundation comes from an established institution in a given culture and society for it is where the universal knowledge is subjected to comprehensive scrutiny.

      Interesting statement.
This is partially not true. Life needs only so much educational updates. An Educational update is something received through schooling. If you want to change that to "knowledge" updates, then you would be on to something.

Degrees and honours only feeds the ego which comes from an over abundance of self esteem and self confidence.
I don't like your choice of words in this sentence. As I already pointed out "education" and "knowledge" are two separate things.

You are entitled to your own opinion, so am I, right? None of these though are necessarily applicable to each of the billions of inhabitants in this earth.

Right about what? You have made a blanketed paragraph which asks no questions.

Learning, gaining an education and knowledge is always a choice.
          This statement doesn't make sense.

Learning, gaining an education and knowledge is always a choice. It's the willful ignorant who decide that they cannot learn or chooses to not learn which is the problem.

Those who choose to keep learn, do in fact, reach a point where they have an over abundance of self-esteem and self-confidence, which tends to make them think that they are superior to others, which in fact they are not superior. It's only in their mind.

Let me ask you this specific question; What is that motive behind your opposing anyone's right for their own opinion? You even lack the ability to discern a very simple question. If I may repeat...I said "you are entitled to your own opinion", and I may add "I don't really care" I just detest senseless arguments." Then after saying that you are entitled to your own opinion I added that I am also entitled to my own opinion, so I asked if I am right in my assumption because that is how I see it...you may agree or disagree. What makes sense to others does not necessitates your agreement...does not even oblige the king to agree...calling people ignorant without even knowing them is ignorance by it self...do you think you are the most educated mammal alive to call everyone you have know personal knowledge about...ignorant just because you disagree? I hope more people are sensible then unnecessary wars will be prevented.

I have nothing against people having a "right" to their own opinion. I am just addressing the irrationality of your opinion.
A simple question? It would be nice if you asked one, as you have above. Your question above was easier to grasp than your OP(opening post) simply because of the words you used to phrase your OP.
And that would be your problem. You don't care about the "words" you use. Go figure?
I'm sure you do detest senseless argument, probably as much as I detest arguing with irrational people.
You're correct about one thing, I can agree or disagree. However, I was merely pointing out your word usage. If you don't like it? Too bad.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts.  I am not at all convinced education level correlates strongly with self-esteem. Other possibilities (e.g. education level correlating with neuroticism) are possible.  Data would be the only way to know for sure.

Really, where do you get the data? from all corners of the world? If you are not convinced on the correlation between education level and self-esteem, so be it but that does not show that just because you are not convinced then that is already the whole truth. Do you know the data in our particular society? Have you done a survey or a research study on the correlation between  education and self-esteem in the Philippine society? Maybe it is not true in your place...I am just speaking of a truth that I had been living my whole life in.

You found a point to attack me in my word usage, may I point out also one error you made? What about "EVERYONE is entitled to THEIR  own opinion..."As if you don't make mistake....Do you know cultural differences in the English Language? that America is not the only Englis-speaking nation in the world? that my late English husband laugh at the "BIG MOUTH YOUNG GENERATION AMERICAN BOYS?" speaking of ignorant but arrogant racist.
