Strongly defending his record as United States President during the nearly three years of his tenure, Barack Obama has said he deserves to be re-elected as he has not only revived the nation's economy, but also secured the country.

"Not only saving this country from a great depression, not only saving the auto industry, but putting in place a system in which we are going to start lowering health care costs and you are never going to go bankrupt because you get sick or somebody in your family gets sick.

"Making sure that we have reformed the financial system so we never again have taxpayer-funded bailouts and the system is more stable and secure; ending 'don't ask, don't tell'; decimating Al Qaeda, including bin Laden being taken off the field," Obama said in an an interview to the CBS 60 Minutes when asked why he thinks he deserves to be re-elected.

If this were Cuba, China, or Venezuela, I would say, yes, he deserves to be re-elected.

Seriously, he's now saying unemployment has dropped to 8.6%. This is something to be proud of considering, in actuality, it's really more like 10-15%?

And more secure? He really thinks this country is more secure? We have a southern border that's even more open than when he took office. Iran is on the fast track for a nuclear bomb and we're #2 on their hit list. Oh, yeah, we're more secure. NOT!!!!!

And Obamacare is just the Socialist cherry on top of the crapola Sunday.

Obama doesn't DESERVE to be re-elected but rather given our disdain and to be run out of D.C. on a rail as the worst president this country has ever had and hopefully ever will have.

      ANYBODY BUT OBAMA, 2012!!!

I'm not sure how he lowered health care costs.  Does anyone know?

Was it he who gave the bailouts?  Only to end them?

Wait - he took out bin laden or the military did?
They also decimated ??? Al Qaeda in a continuation of what already was in place.

Obama continued the bailouts. He's started 3 more wars (military intervention is a declaration of war, anymore). He's leading us into a war with Iran on the same false pre-tenses that Bush used to go into Iraq.

We're 15 trillion in debt -- 16 by the time he leaves.

... i could go on and on, but it's just not worth it.

You're right that Obama is far closer to the other GOP candidates, especially as it relates to bailouts and foreign policy, than any of them are to Ron Paul.

If that isn't proof enough that Ron Paul is utterly unelectable in this country, I don't know what is. (I refer you to Citizens United vs FEC)

Ron Paul knows he won't win. But he knows he makes a lot of money being an eternal candidate, money he gets to keep.

You hit the nail on the head- I don't know how he can say that he's saved our country from a depression when, through the policies and bills of his administration, has raised the debt exponentially since Bush.

He continues to insult the intelligence of the American people.

It wasn't just he who says it.  CBO and all non-FoxNews economists know it.

For those whose lives revolve around spewing lies and vitriol at Obama, you can at least take solace in the fact that you will have 5 more years to do so.

Really?  He hasn't insulted my intelligence at all.  He's annoyed me now and then by too much compromise with the Right and too little gumption on the tough issues, but I'd say he's a whole lot more intelligent than the vast majority of Americans.

But that's what you really mean, right?  He's insulted the yahoos who think Liberal is a dirty word.

As I've told you before, Evan, I know it's a horrible slogan. I don't particularly like any of the Republican candidates but I'll be damned to the farthest depths of Hell before I would vote for the Idiot-In-Chief, Barack Hussein Obama.

I wish I could feel as strongly FOR and candidate as you do for Paul but it's just not there. Until then, I'll have to settle for voting AGAINST the incompetent idiot boob who is Obama.

You're right Longhunter. I wish I felt strongly about one candidate as Evan does about Paul. I very much admire Ron Paul, except where his foreign policy is concerned, and I don't know if I can get around that. Other than that, everything he says is spot on. This election, for me, is about the lesser of two evils, just like 2008 was.

Personally, I feel he did accomplish a lot. Did he get credit? In most cases, No. I feel he's been the most disrespected President in the history of this great nation. I'm sure many will disagree, but that is my opinion. And, I like you, I'm entitled to my opinion.

Yes, I did, OAW, as well as the man who held the office. Barack Hussein Obama is the worst president this country has ever had.

Something tells me you didn't but that doesn't surprise me. If you think Obama has accomplished rather than screwed up a lot, it speaks volumes.

Barack Obama is one of the biggest tax-cutting presidents in recent history, yet his communication team has failed to get the message out.

Will he be re-elected? Probably, for the same reason George W. Bush was.

That's true, although for "tribal" reasons, there are a lot of people who will want to insist their taxes went up under Obama.

Fortunately, GOP partisans (aka Tea Partiers) are not not even close to a majority. We'll have another 4 years of Obama and Tea Partiers' heads exploding.

I am unashamed to say that I will be voting for Obama in 2012. Yes, Obamacare did not lower healthcare costs for everyone. However, it provided healthcare opportunities for students, unemployed, and the elderly who do not get healthcare benefits from their jobs. This helped to put a little more money back into OUR country's dying social systems.

He is promising to bring our troops home from Iraq. I can not imagine anything I would love more, than seeing all of my friends and family safe on American soil again. As for security, no president can make our nation safe. Did we blame Bush for 9/11? Did we considered Clinton's actions with NATO in Kosovo an act of war?

Obama is not a hero, a saint, a miracle worker, or the best president ever. However, he's done his best to stabilize our country during a WORLD ECONOMIC CRISIS. These Republican candidates will ruin us with their radical tax reforms, implementation of religion and government, lack of foreign policy, and ridiculous public images.

Our president is NOT the problem. Open your eyes! The most important elections in 2012 are those of your congressmen! They are the "ruling class," and they are the ones flushing our tax dollars down the toilet. I mean, who doesn't want a job where you vote on your own (6-figure) salary?

Besides leaving the black guy to clean up the Republican economic mess, Obama has been the only candidate who behaves like a genuine Christian, and not an opportunistic hypocrite . . .

Obviously you've forgotten Dodd's and Frank's involvement in the mortgage cluster screw of the nation that helped push the economy over the cliff. Yes, the economy took a nose dive during the Bush administration but it wasn't piloted solely by Bush and there's enough blame to go around on both sides of the aisle. Obama has done nothing but make the whole thing worse unless, of course, you're a Socialist as well.

As for Obama being "the only candidate who behaves like a genuine Christian, and not an opportunistic hypocrite," you apparently haven't the slightest idea what a "genuine Christian" really is.

Since Evan doesn't like my ANYBODY BUT OBAMA slogan, I'll just use this one:

      NObama, 2012

I've forgotten nothing, Longhunter; your claim about Dood & Frank is a total falsehood or, you are delusional or believe the reactionary demagogues like Rush Limbaugh who spew this hate—however I suspect all three points are true.

Bush and his corporate puppeteers demanded more and more deregulation and that is the reason we're in such a mess today.  Rabid conservatives, like you it seems, see healthcare reform as "socialism," but I have to wonder if you receive, or plan to receive Social Security; if so, that is a form of "socialism," and not communism—though I wonder if you even know the difference?

I have a very good idea of what a christian is—someone who is tolerant and kind and doesn't indulge in calumny, lies or  hypoicrisy—like Newt and Perry and Cain and Bachmann and Romney and Santorum!

You have a good evening, Wizz. Maybe a little warm milk with your meds will help you go night-night faster. Just remember to turn the lights off in your mommy's basement before closing those narrow-set bug eyes of yours.

Neither are mine, OAW, as I choose to look at the candidate rather than the party.
