OK, I do my very best to keep everything up and running with no broken links. The number of broken links on 300 hubs that are filled with dozens of photos is running about 5 a week - one a day.
I have started no longer linking to the exact photo and now I am going to no longer link - simply give the name of the source.
I want to give credit where credit is due but this is too time consuming.
Your thoughts and experiences? Or am I just being a grumpy Grandmother?
Totally get that. I feel like I'm constantly getting broken links.
Glad its not just me that found that photo links seem to be broken either as soon as you put them in, or soon after. I am tending now to drop the hyperlink and just name the source.
That seems a shame. It's rough on the photographer, who's a fellow creative artist, after all.
Where are you getting the photos? With Flickr photos, I never link to the photo itself, I always link to the photographer's photostream (their main page). That way, I'll only get a broken link if they actually leave Flickr completely.

Have you had this happen to you? I searched for the highlighted broken link but I could not find one. So how do you clear the notice?

when I upload pictures to my hubs, the last several that I have uploaded only show broken links instead of the actual pictures. I already tried going in and re-uploading the pictures but I can't get it to work. anybody know what to do? I don't know if it's a website glitch or not?

I apologise to Marisa, as I have no intention of 'stealing her thunder' for her excellent hub gathering statistics on the Plunges and Surges - http://marisawright.hubpages.com/hub/Hu … es-survey. I have looked at another aspect which was not included in the survey. I looked at about 10...
