I am seeing the bit of traffic I have been getting dropping rapidly in the last day or so. Although the above link says it only affects 1% of searches could this be to blame?

      Excellent link.

I bet that HP is having meetings over this latest google endeavor.

Para, if you think it is the wrong forum to get read, you can re-post the link if you want to - I think it might be more use to people that way.

I'm surprised Google is saying this update has just been launched, because it's been talked about for a while now.

Google sends conflicting messages, as the linked article says - that's because the Adsense and Panda teams don't talk to each other!   Adsense encourages you to surround your text with ads, whereas Panda will penalize you if you have too many ads in relation to your text, especially if they're in the upper part of the page.

I must say, I only discovered recently that HP has an Adsense banner that appears at the top of the Hub (you can only see it when you're logged out). Then there's the the top right-hand ad block and the ad directly under our profile box.   That does seem a bit ad-heavy "above the fold".

If you then add your own Amazon or eBay capsule in that top section (which I've done quite often) and I'd say you're definitely over-the-top.  I think I need to edit some of mine!

I am new to hubpages so I cannot really answer your question, but wanted you to have some foot traffic on this thread.

Thanks, I will check this tomorrow, as I need to get some sleep which I am short on at the moment.
