Well, you see, it's like this--I know I could just eliminate the "offending" text, but it's really a part of the point I'm making in my article.
What I've done is, included in the article a totally made-up, bogus, non-existent website for purposes of illustration. (Oh--did I mention it's not a real website? )
Now, try as I might, I cannot seem to eliminate either the blue font or the underline that appear to make it a real, clickable hyperlink. If I cannot manage to do so, it's going to come up as a "broken" link.
Which, of course, it "sort of" is, but really is not, because it is not a link at all. Is there a workaround for this issue, or do I simply have to get rid of it, and find something less clever and more pedestrian to make my point?
Thanks for any suggestions.
You could change the dots for commas or spaces.
Or type the address into word, and then make a screen shot picture out of it and paste that into your article.
oh--ok, thanks, Mark... appreciate the tips.
(You can paste a picture into the body of the article without using a photo capsule?????)
Sadly no. It would need to be a picture.
Maybe the www, example, com works better just as text.

Hey ladies and gentlemen I tried to get this posted before the holiday season because I thought it could help people coup with the idea of flying. I like it, and tried to keep it simple (as in fewer than 1,500 words), but as usual my personal experiences had to bleed into it. Anyway what do you...

Ironically, the hub it happened on is about Haunted Hollywood. Perhaps the hub itself is haunted? Whatever, it was quite a shock to find I've turned into an older gentleman, albeit a rather nice looking one, that I don't recognize. Oddly, this is the only hub where I don't...

Help! I woke up this morning to find that one of my mid-range performing hubs, "What is Creation, by Definition?" (http://lauraschneider.hubpages.com/hub/What-is-creation) had plummeted to a score of 55. It was 74 on Sept. 8th, 2013, and I know it is a well-written article with 3...

What are some things about yourself that most people would find strange?I'll start...-My eyes are so dark people think my eyes are black (or that I wear specialty contacts.)-I don't have a sense of smell.
