How do I use my referral tracker for people to sign up for HP?

   Okay, I've read both of those and figured out how to add it to a hub, and MissOlive has helped me learn how to link my referral tracker to other sites. Now, I'm having trouble putting a referral tracker on my profile page, as it doesn't give a link box. Does that make sense?

      So you need html:
      
      <a href="http://hubpages.com/_yourtracker/signin/">Join Me At Hubpages!</a>
      
      
      Just change the link to whatever page and tracker you want and change the text "Join Me at HubPages!" To whatever words you need hyperlinked

      I doubt either of those hubs shared HTML with you. I was actaully looking for Susana S's write up on it, but it seems to be gone. One needs about 40 words to explain how to add referral links. Im sure all of these articles are over-complicating the matter and are filled with fluff. I double checked that the one I shared was accurate ..but it simply was selected because it linked OUT to Susana S's original hub, so I knew the author did their homework.
      
      But, the "link to this page" option at the bottom of every page on this site would give you a base anchor link in html also.
      
      The problem many seem to have, is that you cant go to the "sign-up" page while logged in, so you cant just "link to this page" for that particular option.

   The marks around Join Me at Hubpages? Looks like quotation marks and arrow at beginning? then arrow, slash, a, arrow at end? Does it need all that? or is that just how it showed up? thanks.

    Sorry that this is so complicated. It's my profile page that I'm trying to link it to. I think I've learned how to do it with hubs. Yes, some hubs are very complicated and don't spell things out. Is there anything that explains simply how to do that on your profile page? I copied and pasted the html link posted above, changed the referral tracker to mine, but it didn't turn blue or turn to those magical words for people to click on. Oh, well. I think I've exceeded my brain power for one night.

    sunforged--the html worked! It's like it took a while to kick-in, but now it does, and it goes to the sign-up page. Thanks! But is there anywhere that says how to do that on a profile page???? thanks for all your help!

    Thanks, vocalcoach. I'm on month 7. haha. There's just so much to figure out, so much to learn, so much to write, besides regular life and work, that some things get put off. Well, I've been tracking referral trackers lately, something that would really benefit new hubbers from the very beginning as far as earnings go. At least, I would think so. Better late than never, huh?
