What is your favourite action scene in a movie that you've watched?

Mine is from the Dark Knight with the scene where Harvey is being transported to the county jail and the Joker pulls up from the side door of a truck and blows up everything in order to kill Harvey, thinking he's the real Batman and fails to harm him when Bruce enters, amidst the chaos.

I also liked the last fight scene from Spiderman 3 with Peter taking on the Sandman and Venom by himself and Harry makes the save to prevent Peter from dying at the hands of Sandman's bashing, evening the odds for a mind-exploding match up.

So many great action scenes over the years. But one that sprang immediately to mind was the speedboat chase in 'Live and Let Die'. Exciting, inventive and very witty

Well Johnjfernando, I would have to say my favorite scene in "The Dark Knight" would be the interrogation scene because you can add a lot of psychological layers to it, and there's a lot of deep symbolic meaning in that encounter.  Then again, I don't know if anyone would consider that scene an action sequence.  lol.

However, if I'm forced to judge off the action scene alone (and not necessarily the entire movie itself), then I'd have to go with the famous fight scene between Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee when they fought each other in "Way of the Dragon."  Another great action sequence would be the freeway scene in "Matrix Reloaded." Granted the last two films of that series are commercialized pieces of crap, but that one action scene is pretty awesome to say the least.

I think the Dark Knight was an amazing action movie. I'm not a big fan of action (I'd rather watch comedy or drama), but I really enjoyed the special effects in the Dark Knight and the climactic sequences. Plus, Heath Ledger had such an amazing performance, it kept the 2 1/2 hour movie interesting.

I don't disagree.  Personally, I think Warner Bros. should NOT cast anyone to play the Joker again, in a live action film, for another ten years or so because any actor that has to play that role now is going to have a lot to live up to.

Eh, I don't know about that.  In most of the action sequences of Bay's transformers, they tend to go by so fast that you can barely see what's going on half the time.  Nah, I think "Real Steel" does a better job showing giant robots slugging the crap out of each other if you ask me.

thats cool.  i hope you like the film.  plus, i heard that supposedly Sugar Ray Leonard did the motion capture work for the CGI fight scenes for that movie; which might explain why it had great action scenes.

How about the scene from Highlander 2 when connery and lambert drive into the stronghold and they get hit with a ton of bullets.

I don't think I've ever seen any of the Highlander films to be quite honest.  Although, i want to someday. Speaking of great action scenes, I thought the final scene in "Barry Gordy's the last dragon" kicked a** even though it was a comically stupid movie.  lol  Plus, I thought that one action scene in "Kill Bill Volume 1" where she took on a room full of people was awesome as well.

My favourite action scene is from the film Terminator 2: Judgement day where the Terminator portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger is being chased by an evil cyborg in a long cat and mouse game!

The car chase scene in Matrix Reloaded is pretty cool. Apparently they had to build a whole new scetion of road to film the scene on.
Also the fight sequence between Doc Ock and Spidey on top of the train in Spidey 2 is pretty good.
