Have you ever earned any money from referral trackers?

Well I'm glad at least somebody replied. I don't know either, that's why I asked.  Here is what I do know about it.

!.  Go to your Earnings Page.  On the left side,  you'll see a link called Referral Tracker.

      2.  Click on it.  It will bring up a window that will generate a referral tracking code.

      3. Bring up any of your hubs and at the bottom of the page, click on Share.

      4. Click on Link to this page. That will bring up a window that has the URL for that  hub with the Referral Tracker code embedded in the URL.

      5. If you copy that URL, you can send it to anybody outside of hub pages and then when they click on it on and sign-up for hub pages, eveytime somebody clicks on an add, you and that person get a piece of the action.

I think that's what happens. I hope this generates some interest so I can really find out how it works.

        Mostly correct.

        The breakdown:
The referrer of a signup gets 10% advert impressions on all hubs for the life of the account.
If you link to any other page on Hubpages using your tracker, the person who clicks will see you adverts on ANY hub on the site for a couple of hours, between 9-12% of the time.

Darkside has written some great hubs on this topic.

And earnings? Well I think I have about 500 signups or something like that. Out of those, about 15% have ever written a hub. About 2% have written more than 20 hubs. And only one person is what I'd call "highly successful" on Hubpages. So yes, I do earn SOME money, but it definitely isn't worth a lot of effort getting referrals if you're in it for the cash!

WryLiit: It sounds like it's not worth the effort. I was just trying to learn about it.  But to me, the instructions were not that clear.  Thanks for your reply.

If you create your own referral tracker, such as "_peoplepower", and just automatically add it to EVERY HP link you create, it gets to be a habit and you'll be surprised how many referrals etc you get.

You can actually track on Adsense now, what other subdomains are displaying your adverts thanks to trackers....

Just insert your tracker directly after the Hubpages slash in any HP URL. Examples:

            hubpages.com/_peoplepower/hubname
            hubpages.com/_peoplepower/
            subdomain.hubpages.com/_peoplepower/yourprofile

Thanks, that seem easy enough.  I'll give it a try and see what happens.

Everything is ok.. But how to see that, what amount is actually earned by us through referral programme?

Trsmd -  you can see signups through your referral trackers.

You can also see a breakdown of all the websites/subdomains where your Adsense code is being displayed in the new Adsense.

These are the only easy ways to track them easily.
