I have had my last two hubs unpublished saying they need revision due to unrelated links or products. I checked the advertising setting to none and non commercial, resubmitted it and it still comes back saying need revision due to unrelated links or products even tho there are no unrelated links or products on them. What am I doing wrong? How do I get this corrected?

Are there links/products of any kind on there (related or otherwise)?

No only links to female hubbers which is what the hub is about.

Do you have an RSS feed on those hubs?

Hubs must be set to "commercial" and high ad level if you have any outbound commercial links at all, even if they are related.

Yes I have the RSS feed but the setting is at no ads and not commercial so I don't understand what they think is wrong or how to correct it.

An RSS feed will cause that problem unless the RSS feed has been customized to match the hub's contents. "Latest," "best" etc. will all likely cause a problem because the RSS feed will include links to unrelated contents. HubPages staff has been warning against such feeds under the current, more restrictive rules.

If you remove the RSS feeds, the problem will likely be solved.

I ran into this also tongue  They have to be related, literally. Otherwise, I'd suggest remove the link(s) altogether or use the 'suggest a link' to link to another hub on identical topic sad

The links I have are to female hubbers profile page, that's what the hub is about. The 'suggest a link'  thing doesn't wotk on my hubs anymore for some reason.

I would then have to suggest you send a email to the team smile

No need to contact HubPages, probably, as I explained above.

The FAQs are quite clear now on showing caution when using RSS feeds to "latest" or "best hubs." http://hubpages.com/faq/#unrelated

Ok thanks, I'll take another look, I didn't think the RSS feed to our other hubs had anything to do with this. All my hubs include 3 on the RSS feed and there isn't a problem with them yet.

WE is right - if you have not customized your feed to only show related hubs it will result in "unrelated links".

The feed on your female hubbers could be showing a link to your hub on driving an 18 wheeler, for instance.  An 18 wheeler does not have much to do with female hubbers.

Ok I think I understand a little better, I'll look again at the RSS.

I'm thinking maybe I don't understand how to customize my RSS feed to only show related hubs, can you help with that?

You can use tags and your name to customize the feed.  Only hubs that you wrote, and that have a particular tag, will show up.

For example, look at the RSS feed at the bottom of this hub: http://wilderness.hubpages.com/hub/Twen … -Tool-Set.  It is in a hub about tools and lists only other hubs I've written about tools.

                http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/hubb … c-rss-feed

talks about how to do it.
