    NOTE TO ALL SUPER-WISE HUBBERS:
I have emailed HubPages three times through their "contact us" section and asked them to SEND ME INFORMATION on
'HOW TO SET-UP MY OWN HUBPAGES BLOG ACCOUNT' and they havent responded. I dont know why and Im afraid to ask.
I already have a HubPages (hub/article publishing) account, so could I have BOTH a Hub-publishing and Hub Blog account at the same time?
I know you are tired of my blathering.
So I beg any or all of you, PLEASE HELP ME.
    Thanks!
    Kenneth Avery
PS: The hubber who helps me with my HubPages Blog Account will get a FREE SHOUT-OUT in my First Blog. I promise.

Not sure what you mean by a Hubpages Blog Account?
The best thing to do is go checkout Blogger or Wordpress - Blogger is very simple and allows you to choose from some pretty decent templates when creating the blog - you can add a lot of functionality and even Google Ads.

Once setup, you can then search for free blogger templates to really make the blog look nice - I just did that on my own blog...

I tried both WordPress and Blogger and worked my tail off a few months before joining HubPages. These, to me, and this is only my opinion, do not work for me. Hubs does work. And in my webbing last week I ran across a Homepage for HubPages Blog...now I cant find it. But thanks for taking time to advise me.

Blogging won't work unless you've found a single subject you want to concentrate on.  If you want to write about a variety of subjects, you're better off sticking with HubPages.  If you want to spread your work around a bit (which is a good idea), you could try signing up for Wizzley and Infobarrel, which work in a similar way to HP.

I wrote a Hub called "From HubPages to your own blog" which might help you.

      Hello,

If you wish to create a blog I would recommend WordPress there isn't any Blogs created here for HP. Creating an account is free at WordPress too. Just a suggestion. smile

          ...unless you want money.

Wordpress FREE blogs don't let you advertise. Blogger FREE blogs on the other hand, do.

Wordpress HOSTED blogs allow advertising, but then you're paying for hosting and a domain name.

You can't, it is one blog. Members cannot set up their own blogs.

You can't.  HubPages has their own blog, which only HubPages staff members can post on.  It's a place for HubPages to share their news and helpful tips.  It's for you to read, not for you to contribute to.  You can make comments on it, that's all.  Is that clear yet?

That is a blog by the Hubpages staff for our information.

If you want to blog, you are on your own.  That isn't a Hubpages function.

(color= blue) Dear Stacie...Simone at HubPages just told me what psycheskinner replied...this is for THEM, not us. Maybe I will try WordPress, again, and this time, maybe some followers, but Im not leaving Hubs. Not on your life, for I LOVE MY FOLLOWERS. smile

You need [brackets] instead of (parentheses), no space in color=blue, and at the end, /color in [brackets].

Kenneth, you still seem to be thinking that a HubPages member can set up a blog on HubPages.  We can't.  It's impossible.  The only blog on HubPages is for the staff only.

If you want to set up a blog, you just have to go back to some place like Blogger or Wordpress, even if you don't like them.  There are other places too; just run a search for forum threads on the topic.

You can create links from a blog to your HubPages articles, if you wish, and that is actually often a helpful practice.
