    Just for fun
If Jesus came back to earth tomorrow and did not need to produce a birth cert, like Obama lol....who would win.?  After all Jesus has a 85% approval rating with Americans. Would Jesus be too much a socialist and lose the election base on soft on crime ,Abortion issues, and everyone feeling guilty about being Sodom and  Gomorrah like. Could anyone challenges Jesus like Obama,  Ron Paul, Mitt Rodney, or any other candidate

    Please, vote now'''''''''''''''

Probably not, because Jesus would tell the truth and people just don't want to hear the truth. Why do you think they nailed him to a cross?

I totally agree, this world dose not want another coming. The guilt issue alone would make people turn their backs to him.

No.  The Republicans would never support a man like him.  I would also venture to guess that other Americans, such as independents and most Democrats, would not vote for him either.

My guess is as a third party candidate in the upcoming election, he'd get 10-15% of the vote.

Possibly, depending if Jesus wanted to institute a theocracy or not, I would consider voting for him.  His views about love and avoiding becoming obsessed with accumulating stuff are extremely pertinent today.

Jesus would not make it into that ugly show business

Maybe Jesus could just sing one song titled.......
The  End of the World is now
People would follow him, in a heart beat

You're right about that. History shows that people followed others, who were nowhere close to Jesus' popularity, who simply claimed that world was ending.

According to the forums, Jesus was a gay alien socialist.  Not very electable no matter who his PR people are.

considering he despised political authority, and according to writing's only upheld the Kingdom og God, God's authority over Govermenty? Then I have to ask here, why would he even be a candidate? or better than this, why would any so called all knowing God need to run for an ofrfice, in a world he alone created?

But for Fun, if you will,  I'd say he would be liberal and to honest for office and thus would not get elected. I do not think we would like what he had to say.

I feel I'm not going to ever understand Christianity reasoning and logic in my lifetime, yet it is my duty to try to love my fellow man anyways.

I did a test on a thread which asked,  if a Christian was capture by Muslim terrorist and the Christian had a choice to be killed that day. or convert to Muslim and escape that day with their life. The vast majority christians said they would allow themselves to be killed. Even if I was a christian I would be yelling out OH Allah  LOWLLOLLLLLOLOLOL then sing Take All of me change to words to Take A- la -h why don't you take Al- la- meh then live another day,

To commit suicide is a serious bad sin too, God would forgive you if you convert back to him the next day. I wonder about another thing If Jesus said, vote for me or spend eternity in hell,

More than  80% of America are Christian and it's their core belief system. Yet Christian would rather commit suicide than to convert to a Muslim or spend eternity in hell if they did not vote for Jesus.

If I was Chriantian I would have to vote for Jesus because my lifestyle and eternal soul depends on it. Yet most christian here would not vote for Jesus, what screw up logic and reasoning. The only true source of evil to me, is the absence of reason , dose anyone Christian have one here?

      1. loveofnight profile image75
loveofnightposted 12 years agoin reply to this

I honestly do not believe that most christians would rather commit suicide, self preservation is a strong tool and besides they can always say that the spirit was willing but the body was weak.

I am amazed on how most Christians would say they would not lie, and then be killed by the Muslims.

          On the other HAND

North American's greatest pass time is lying, so when it really comes down  to push, then it comes to shove and then to be killed, they would be yelling Allah!!! Allah!!! along with me.

When the US military budget is much greater than the health care, watch out for the American people getting mid-evil roman style all over again on  Jesus

Don't me start on the US murder rates that Jesus would have to bring back to life on.

Well now, what would his stance be on the issues?
He would likely get a big cut of the vote if he was for legalising marijuana... wink
Sure he could feed the hungry, heal the sick and what not, but what about taxes? Will he lower taxes without cutting spending? And what about corporate personhood? How easy will it be for corporations to commit crimes without being held accountable? Gotta think of the issues people!

As far as it goes, he wouldn't stand a chance and would likely be crucified by the religious element in America before it got close to the election. There is probably a reason he hasn't returned yet wink

Sounds like Jesus would be crucified, Kennedy style

This thread really blows my mine. 85% American say they try  to live their life and core beliefs by Jesus

Then, when election comes around, they would ditch what Jesus has to say and not fellow him anymore. What would Jesus have to do to convince you. How about claim the end of the earth is happening Righteously now!!!, Still many people would say we heard the those exaggerated truths and promises about 400 times before.

I bet if Jesus poured down molten lava that surrounded everyone, with flying red dragons throwing firey flames  upon everything, like something worst than Iraq. Then People would jump on his band wagon, because the other politician will be trying to scare you too, yet couldn’t top that

No, I don't think the real Jesus could get elected if He came back. Most of us wouldn't recognize Him, since we tend to create God in our own image: He hates all the same people we hate.
