Photo Upload Issue

    Browse then upload is uploading 2 of the same picture, gives me error = try saving again then screen shadows in and locks up. Picture is there when I leave page but 2 images. Can not delete 2nd image.
    Needed to get this published, errors and all. In 4 months I have made a whooping 12 cents. They should pay at least a dollar for each hub!!!

      Oh, I've been getting that error a lot recently!

      The way to fix it is to delete the photo capsule that has the duplicate photo.

      Then insert a new photo capsule, and choose "add from file" or whatever the exact wording is to say that your photo is already uploaded.

      Then click on the photo as it appears in the left hand side of the capsule, and it slips into place, no problem.

      When you next go to upload a new photo, and you get a delay before the choose photo part shows, don't click on anything, wait until the second part loads, then click on upload a photo, and only one will come up.

      If you forget to wait and two appear after your photo is uploaded, just repeat the steps above - delete the capsule and start again.

      It's got to be a bug. This only started about a month ago. I use Chrome, but with Windows 7 64-bit there is an issue with Flash player, if that is the problem.

      Actually, I thought I was telling technical issues to the "team", not sure what happened.. Again, my appologies... Yes, can you pass it on, I am on the slowest dial up connection in the known world... Did you see the photos?

        This forum is supposedly monitored by the Team, but unless for serious / widespread issues there is no guarantee they will act on it. So direct contact can still be a faster solution. In that case, the email should come from you so they can follow up.

        I did see the hub, and it looks odd. If I were you, I would try to delete the photo capsule, then insert a new photo capsule in its place and see if that works. You can then choose "My photos" as the image source so that you won't have to upload the image again. I don't know whether your slow Internet connection could have something to do with this.

            I will try deleting and waiting.
            Perhaps later when the net slows a little...
            I enjoy putting my stories out and glad Hubpages is giving me the chance.
            I will post again tomorrow with my results.
