   Federal Funding for Planned Parenthood
   
   Mitt Romney, Republican presidential candidate maintained that if he becomes president, all federal funding to Planned Parenthood will be cut.   Mr. Romney stated that the reason for this decision is that Planned Parenthood provides abortion services.   Mr. Romney asserted that he was against abortion. 
   
   However, earlier in his campaign according to Huffington Post, he indicated that he supported abortion rights.  Well, another male Republican wants to control women's bodies.   Well, enough is enough.   No woman in her thinking mind is going to support this man.   Mitt Romney is BAD news for us progressive women in America.  What is Mr. Romney thinking if at all?

      Romney has proved time after time that he'll say anything he thinks will get him nominated. His problem is what will get him nominated won't, hopefully, get him elected. This is a good example.

   They are using gvt to enforce religion....it's nothing new.
   
   But quite cynical where Romney's concerned...not too long ago he was pro-choice, to get elected gvr here in Mass.
   
   They want a church/state.

      What you have said is quite true.  Republicans intend to establish a very conservative religious male hegemony where women are going to be relegated to be the silent, submissive ones who will be continuously pregnant.   To the average Republican male,  the preeminence of women in positions of power and the reproductive freedoms they have is just too much for male Republicans to bear.   So they want to put us women in "our place". 
      
      Well, I have news for them.  That is NEVER going to happen.  We are progressing, and shall never, ever regress to the 19th century role of women as just vessels and appendages of men.  Women are independent, thinking people in our own right.  The separation of church and state in American society is become more and more blurred each day.  It is time to stop this madness.

         Right, and they are making it a 1st amendment issue...as if their religious freedom is at stake when women want to be individuals apart from their beliefs.
         
         I'm still waiting to hear why all of this uproar is suddenly a problem, when all these same polices were in place under Bush? AND Obama has continued Bush's gvt/church partnerships?
         
         Gee, a cynical mind might think they are only doing it to harm Obama...snark.

   I was curious to see more republicans respond to this. Other forums/answers as well, but if contraversial they avoid the topics. Why is that?

      We (conservatives) don't avoid controversial topics, just the insults used to compensate for a lack of a valid counterpoint. Also, conservatives, or those who are pro-life, don't want to "control women's bodies," it is just that the woman is not the only body involved. But how much easier it is to ignore the voice inside that can't be heard. Liberals defend themselves, not those most in need of defending. 
      
      Mitt Romney is too inconsistant and too much of an opportunist, but most conservatives would be willing to vote for old socks than Obama. At least the socks wouldn't damage this country as badly or as often.

         Perhaps being prolife you may want to have the GOP propose that men get fixed? Perhaps that would be a better way to control pregnacies rather then putting all the decision making on the women? After all, as you stated the woman is not the only body involved. So maybe men need to take the role of reducing the chance of the voice inside that can't be heard. And please give me one example of President Obama raising taxes? I've been unable to find any? All I find is lowest taxes in years for all?

   Since when does the right to be born come from religion? While Christians and others support life, do those that don't believe wish the decision to had been made to keep them from coming into this world?
   
   By running amok, I take it you're mad you were allowed to live? Maybe they'll get you on the euthanasia side if you're that troubled by your life.
