I am a little mixed up about this right now. Currently I have individual channels for each Hubs. Can use some help regarding the follows:

How do I add a single adsense channel for all my hubs together?
How do I add adsense channels for my groups?
How do I add adsense channels based on tags?

    Thanks

None of those are possible right now, although it is something we'd like make possible eventually.

You could of course make a single url channel for "http://hubpages.com/", that would encompass all of your impressions across hubpages, or "http://hubpages.com/hub/" for all of your impressions on hubs (it would include hubs of people that have signed up under one of your trackers though).

Hmm. Thanks Paul. It would have been easier to keep track which group or tagged Hubs are doing well.

We have done some general tracking of earning potential of hubs at the tag level, and here is how it breaks out.   Of course, the competition for traffic is going to be more difficult in the higher earning categories so it doesn't necessarily mean you'll make more writing about finance and money than entertainment.

You have done a good research Paul. I am sure these tips will be very useful for every one while creating Hubs.

But in my case I think its the celebrity related Hubs that made me the most. But then those Hubs are the most visited also.

There are a few thing I would like you to take note of. I have posted this before also, but no one replied.

The Hubscore for individual Hubs have remained static for a long time now. Also not able to add RSS feeds from other Hubs. However feeds from outside sources are working fine. One more thing is that, the new pop up window is quite annoying when pasting text in the edit text box. It serves no purpose as of now. Why not get rid of it?

Another thing I would like to suggest is that, why can't we have ads on RSS links and feeds?. Pheedo provides it. I am sure it will not interfere with Adsense ads.

    Can you please check?

Sorry SunSeven, I saw your post but some of the questions aren't in my area of expertise, so they require a little more research.

I believe this was fixed yesterday.

I'm working on this issue, but I'm not quite sure what happened yet.  Hopefully it will be fixed by Monday.

We use the open source tinymce editor for text capsules and recently upgraded to a new version.  I'd be curious what other author's think about the new text pasting popup.  It looks like it prevents pasting pre-formatted html but might make pasting plain text easier.

We've got some RSS capsule improvements in the pipeline, we'll take a look at Pheedo and see if it fits in anywhere.

      Thanks for the feedback!

    Hi
I have a question which ive tried researching and have emailed google to no avail..basically my queary is google adsence allows 200 channels for adsense but there are people here with more than 200 hubs!? please help a confused me.
    Thanks.

That is correct.  Unfortunately it means you won't be able to track the earnings of each of your hubs individually with URL channels if you have more than 200 hubs.  That doesn't mean you won't still be making money from them, of course.

As I mentioned earlier, eventually we'd like to have a system where you could group hubs in various ways into channels.   But it is a ways off.

Thanks for your responce regarding my 200 channels question..
With regards to the "pop up box" when pasting text on to a hub, I too find it quite annoying and somewhat pointless but then i assume no-one does something for nothing so I assume it is there for a reason.... right?

How "new" is this pop up box?  I don't remember it being any other way, but I've only been here for a month.

Paul, the pop-up box is insanely annoying. It means I have to hit ctrl-v twice and it doesn't paste formatted text properly so it seems kind useless as well as annoying.

Embitca -  pasting of HTML works as it did before in Internet Explorer, no popup.  We're hoping to find a solution for firefox (my preferred browser), but in the mean time you could use IE.

SunSeven - RSS capsules should be working again with all valid RSS URLs.

Jimmy - Feel free to make a Hub with that data.  If I don't get around to it myself, maybe Jason will incorporate it into one of the hubpages tutorial hubs.

    Thanks

Thanks a lot Paul for the good work. I have another doubt. On what all cases do you put a NOFOLLOW tag on a Hub? I feel that on one of my Hubs the tag was applied without any reasons that I can think of. The Hub in question is GaHooYoogle It! Can you please check? Thanks again.

    pauldeedsposted 16 years ago

I see a rel="nofollow" tag attached to the link in the comment by the unregistered user basscleff.

That type of nofollow only applies to that particular link not all the links on the hub.  We apply nofollow to comments like that in order to discourage comment spam.

Thanks a lot Paul. I was wondering about this Hub, because I can see no traffic from Google to it, although it was published 4 days ago. Currently I denied the comment you've mentioned. Will it make any difference?

  15. pauldeeds profile imageSTAFF
    pauldeedsposted 16 years ago

I don't think removing that comment will have any effect.

Your hub shows up in the results just below the site itself, but unforunately I don't think gahooyoogle is a very common search term:

    http://www.google.com/search?q=gahooyoogle

  16. SunSeven profile image61
    SunSevenposted 16 years ago

I agree with you that it is not a common search term. May be thats why there is no traffic from Google.(But then so is the word 'hoteldipity'. Here's what I'd found http://www.google.com/search?hl=en& … tnG=Search)
I thought it was because of the NoFollow tag. Thanks again Paul for the quick reply. Your help is most appreciated.
