Is Easter Sunday on the first day of the week, or the seventh?

   Easter Sunday is on the first day of the week, not the seventh. Mark 16:2-4 And very early in the morning the first [day] of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
   
   And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?
   
   And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

      Us who are Christian know that Easter Sunday is the first day and not the last. A week truly ends on a Saturday and the new week begins on Sunday.

      You ask a question, and give the answer.

   The catholic church has changed the "official" day multiple times, the bible doesn't mean anything to them anymore.

      Depends on what6 day God started creating. Just because it was creation's first day doesn't mean it was God's first day....maybe he started on wednesday.

         God used numbers not a wednesday, monday  or sunday and so on. It dose not matter what changes have happen. What day do the world worship easter on SUNDAY, and God said Jesus rose from the died on the first day of the week. Put these to facts together, Easter is, Sunday  the first day of the week.

      Umm, WHICH Sunday to celebrate Easter may have come up for discussion in the Church at any given time, but Easter is ALWAYS celebrated on Sunday in the Catholic Church. We celebrate an Easter vigil on Saturday night, but Sunday is the High Holy Day.

      Yah there is evidence that Hindu's were on a 7 day week for thousands of years before the old testament was written. Chinese were on a 10 day week, Romans were on an 8 day week and others had their own systems.

         Yes the Hindu were on a seven day calender.
         So were the Inca, the Aztec, the Mayan,
         THE ROMANS & THE CHINESE.
         
         Our modern calender is based on the Julian Calender. As in Julius Caesar.
         Roman calender had 7 days.
         The pagan routes are seen in the names of the days of the week. Moon Day. Saturn's Day. Sun's Day. And so forth.
         
         Chinese calender also 7 days
         
         Remarkably a 7 day week is almost universal through all cultures & civilizations throughout recorded history.
         
         There is no astrological reason for this.
         It is a mystery.
         
         Or maybe its a God thing...lol
