I don't really have much to add. This is how it should be. Period.
I wonder who told the media about that one......
Majik. They do like to crow on the odd occasion they do the right thing. Think it makes up for the murdered homosexuals?
Prolly not huh?
I'm speaking as much to my fellow Christians as anyone.
Yes - your religion is divisive - I know. I know you think you are better than atheists and - this thread was supposed to demonstrate that. This would be why I have no respect for your irrational beliefs.
But - please go ahead and post a thread next time a self professed Christian shoots a doctor for performing abortions.
"Ms. Crye said, “I want no publicity for this; I was just doing as God asked me to do."
No, that shouldn't be the way. We don't need gods telling us what to do as it only serves to diminish our evolved altruism and compassion.
I saw a blurb about this on MSN Friday. It said the guy converted to Christianity because of the outpouring of love he received. It made me chuckle. I thought about how well received that thread would have been.
So they falsified it by saying he converted? Thaaat's unhelpful. Doesn't really have anything to do with the point either.
I don't know if it was falsified. I didn't investigate it. But it said he said he finally understood what Christianity was all about, due to the way people showed their love to him. Maybe they lied. Got me.
But hey, you're right. People coming together is probably counter productive. It's better if we all agree to politely disagree.
There are many wonderful people out there whom help their neighbors, travel to different countries to help the poor there, work in soup kitchens etc. I can guarantee not all of them are Christians. . . I think it's funny how Christians only notice the good deeds of other Christians instead of everyone. Why do people have to be labeled "Christians" just because they're doing the right thing? God didn't strike that girl with lightening and tell her to help that man she did it because she has a heart and a conscience. God didn't tell her to do squat. Personally I think christianity is a cult..they try to get others to join and force their religion down others throats. Do you really honestly think that by posting this article you're going to convert people? Won't happen. Id the girl didn't want any special credit why is she talking to the paper and telling them that? Seems to me like she's just trying to look modest. I think it's very nice what she did for that man and his wife, but her being Christian shouldn't have anything to do with it. Just blows my mind. How can you be ok with going against your Bible and God almost on a daily basis, but if you repent for your sins and confess God will forgive you? Really? It's called karma. Regardless if you believe God forgave you the universe hasn't forgotten and you will get your karma. That's how life works. I asked a Christian one time well you can't see God you can't see Jesus so how do you know he's really there? They can never give me an answer for anything besides you just have to believe. Well that doesn't work fig me. It all comes from within ourselves that's it plain and simple. If I was gods puppet I would be attached to a popsicle stick and some string. Get a grip people let's just love everyone and stop with this religion stuff seriously.
non christians must be sympathetic towards christians...in end christians are innocent people who got stuck in some 2k yr old book...non christians must assist christians to come out of their illusion and get real...
Lawdy, lawdy. That is about as self-serving as it gets.
True Christians wouldn't be seeking publicity for doing God's work.
They would just quietly do it.
And get their reward in heaven -- not the media.
P.S. I love how they characterize a man protesting a nativity scene on public grounds as a Christian hater.
Maybe he isn't even a godless atheist.
Maybe he, like many Americans (including -- gasp, some churchgoing Christians) just believes in the separation of church and state.

One of the greatest tricks of the devil is to get Christians wasting their time in arguing and debating with unbelievers. Unbelievers will not understand Christianity, unless God opens their eyes (the eyes of their understanding). One way of knowing the truth is to humbly and sincerely open the...

If Jesus never wrote anything why is the New Testament the basis of Christianity? If Paul wrote 2/3 of the New Testament is Christianity not a Pauline invention since Jesus wrote none of it?

In Christianity, do non believers go to hell? What happens to the people that believe in another religion and another God. If the Christian God is the only true God, then are those people damned?

Sometimes I think radical Islam and radical Christianity have more in common with each other than they do with any of the more moderate or secular belief systems. All this burning in hell for all eternity and everything. It's evil, isn't it? Not to put too fine a point on it, what's the...

After reading and contributing to so many posts about Christianity on here I'd love for someone to answer this question. Which form (if any)of Christianity is the real deal? It's one thing to get into heated debates over who believes in what religion, but it seems strange to me that there are so...

Where does someone like me, with psychic ability, fit into Christianity? Do you think I am evil?I believe in God & Jesus & God's Holy Spirit. But I was born psychic. I see dead people and I talk to dead people. It is a God-given ability. I help people. Yet I cannot label myself as...
