I wish that when you hit the reply button under a comment, that the reply would show underneath that comment, instead of at the bottom of the page. If you have a lot of comments at once, sometimes it's hard to keep track of which ones you've replied to. Also that would make it easier for others, who are reading the comments, if they could see the comment and reply together.
Good point Sherry! That's happened to me a few times when I've had a lot of comments. It would make things a little easier.
Thanks for the response JKenny. Getting a lot of comments is great, but it can get hard to keep track of those you've answered. I'd hate to overlook anyone.
Here I thought I was managing my replies to comments incorrectly somehow. Great point. Thank you!
I agree with this. It would tie the reply with the comment, and make it more personal.
On a different site, comments would also have hashtags or other indication so that the person who was addressed would get a notification that they were being addressed. I think that would also help since no one has the time to go back to hubs they have already read, and may miss a reply in the homefeed.

What happened to the reply button on the comment section?I have realized the reply button is becoming available only after you scroll all the way down to the comment box, type your reply and hit the post comment button. Anyone with an explanation to this?

I'm sure there are many reasons for and against responding to comments left by your readers. What do you think?

Is it only me, or are there others who think that it should be a common courtesy to reply to comments made to a hub. I always reply to comments made by my followers and others, and people who I follow do the same. I have noticed however, that some hubbers have comments left on their page, and they...

Hello, I know I suggest too many new features, but I noticed that it is very easy to respond to comments on the HubPages iPhone app. I have the comment right in front of me and have three choices underneath, "Deny," "Approve," and "Reply." I just click on...

So, I've always thought it was the polite thing to do to reply to commenters, and thank them for their time and input, and I've made an effort to do so consistently. However, I'm wondering if this is now being discouraged by HP, as there is no available comment box for replies on hubs that have been...
