    Back to The Young and the Restless.  Chelsea had given birth in the cursed Abbott cabin after falling in the lake.  She quickly gave birth to a baby boy in the cabin with Adam's help after Adam fished her out of the freezing water.  The baby boy was given to Victoria and Billy to adopt and raise.  This child is really Billy's son, who was conceived in a foreign country.  Victoria wanted to name him Cecil, but decided that they should name him John--after Billy's father.  Jack, who can no longer walk, has decided to reclaim his company by marrying Genevieve.  The woman left him at the altar, and left it open for Jack's ex, Patty, to dress in Genevieve's wedding dress, whip out a pistol, and shoot him.  Jack is paralyzed, but has taken physical therapy from a man named Sarge.  Nikki slips into an elevator with Jack because she will follow him to his marriage in a Las Vegas chapel.  Neil's son, LaVon has a risky and expensive hearing surgery and can now hear.  The Naked Heiress is toning down her appearances and is going straight.  Michael and Lauren argue about Fen spending too much time at his brother's home because Lauren feels that Daisy will harm him.  Phyllis receives a worn copy of Black Beauty that was left to her by her dead father.  Her sister received nothing.  Chelsea's mother leaves the hospital room because of Chelsea's demands.  Adam wants to keep his role in the baby's birth a secret.  To be continued . . .

    A cruise on the Pacific goes all wrong, the ship sinks, and there are only 3 Survivors; Damian, Darren and Deirdre.
    
    They manage to swim to a small island and they lived there for a couple of years doing what's natural for men and women to do.
    
    After several years of casual sex, all the time, Deirdre felt absolutely horrible about what she was doing.
    
    She felt having sex with both Damian and Darren was so bad that she killed herself.
    
    It was tragic but Damian and Darren managed to get through it. A after a while, nature once more took its inevitable course.
    
    Well, a couple more years went by and Damian and Darren began to feel absolutely horrible about what they were doing.
    
    So they buried Deirdre.

                               3 or 4 months. And it could be really grim. And I intend to do everything possible to avert the final death blow. I was a deer-in-headlights for awhile, what with my Dad dying and literally a half-dozen other things. A confluence of events that I think would have brought most people down. If there ever was something that would make me believe in trends, my experiences during the last 12 months have done so. But all trends have to come to an end. And today is as good a day as any.

                                  Indeed. and there's also other staling tactics. ie; writing to creditors and offering a reduced payment for a couple of months. As you will no doubt point out to them, it is better to accept a reduced payment for a few weeks, then no payment at all, ever. And, when you reach liberation period, you will be able to maintain full payments once again, and make arrangements for arrears.

                                     What I have found appalling during the last 12 months were the brick walls and other obstructions that society threw up every time I tried to deal with the half-dozen "challenges" that I am dealing with. Everybody has problems, but the never ending societal sabotage whenever I tried to solve any of them is what finally caused my crash and burn. Hopefully, the statistical anomaly deluge is now over.

                                        People are people, PDS, they are flawed (I'm thinking about me, I am deeply flawed) You actually haven't crashed and burned yet, or you would not be here.  There is no way around it, but trust me, if I got through it then so can you. Grief is all consuming, but with the help of a couple of pals, you'll survive. I think Janesix is a pal, too.

                                           Good point. A more accurate metaphor would be that I'm flying at a very low, descending altitude with mountains looming in front of me. The mountains are categorically not going to disappear; in fact, I'm surrounded by them. I have to do what is needed to rise above them. Not a bad allegory for life; the constant struggle to get over each new mountain that we all continually face. Each dollar represents a one-foot gain in altitude. This is what we do our entire lives; until God takes away the plane. If we've been good, God will take us away with it. If not, then He does not.

    Cardisa, you are so funny!  You were one of the lucky ones who have escaped from The Young and the Restless.  You most likely have your sanity intact???  My mom used to work in a cannery, and when everyone was doing a seasonal layoff (no tomatoes for the Campbell Soup Company), they all stayed home and watched soaps.  Or if they worked the swing shift, they watched soaps until it was time to show up for work.
    
    As you know, these soaps are vanishing.  They are more expensive to make than  reality shows.
    
    Wouldn't you just love to write a soap and give it some ooooomph???  It's the same old thing.  People die, they have sex with twins, kill lovers, get marooned on islands, suffer from amnesia, etc. 
    
    But I have been watching Y&R since I was a kid.  Now, I like to see the jewelry and clothing.  As you probably know, they are marketing a whole cosmetics line on QVC after Jabot.  John Abbott's cosmetics company.
    
    Thank you for asking.  Phyllis and Nick are still together.  But only after a few times of wandering off.  These people depicted on soaps have too much energy for me.  Their problems alone would give me ulcers.
    
    I do enjoy the cat fights.  All these beautiful women and their perfect dresses getting messed up with wedding cake.  That was the most recent one.  It sure beats the WWE!  Or whatever they are calling it now.
