   In a way there’s nothing very “Buddhist” about the meditation you’ll find on Wildmind. When you pay attention to your breath, or to the sensations in your body as you walk, or when you cultivate feelings of love for another person, you won’t have a sense that you’re doing anything very “religious.” In a way these are simply “human” meditation practices ways that a human being can pay attention to his or her own experience, and gently cultivate greater awareness and love.
   
   Understanding How Buddhist Meditation Can Help You Achieve Enlightenment?
   
   There are a lot of differences between Buddhist meditation and the practice of Buddhism but they are both based on the ideas and practices of the Buddhist religion. The basis of Buddhist meditation is focusing and learning to control your mind. Buddhism comes from the teachings of Buddha and emphasizes the importance of concentrating and focusing. Buddhist meditation is based on these ideas and is sometimes falsely associated with a hypnotic trance by those who are unfamiliar with the practice.
   
   What is the Fourth Noble Truth?
   
   Buddha based his teachings on “eight noble truths” that make up the ideas of Buddhism and on the idea that we need to get rid of our desires and cravings in order to stop humanity of experiencing suffering and misery. According to Buddhism, this can be done by focusing and controlling your mind to elevate yourself in your life. Buddhist meditation is based on the teachings of the fourth noble truth, which says that meditation is the way you build a strong mind and eliminate the cravings and desires that hold you back.
   
   Buddha believed our minds are the key to the human life and to achieve perfect enlightenment and be at peace with your life and with God, you have to have a strong mind. That means your mind needs regular workouts in order for you to avoid the problems that are so common in human life. That is why it is important to make Buddhist meditation a part of your life.

      Does one not meditate at work?
      
      Can one not perform an old task, while thinking on somthing else?
      
      Elightenment, is the realization that enlightenment is just a word.

         Enlightement is a true concept of the mind who know it because they are it.
         
         Limiting it to merely a word simply means you are not such a person.

            As it would appear. We are all in and out, to gain enlightenment one must not grasp at the in moments or they will fade away. I am not enlightened because I don't wish to be. I gave up looking for that, for I know what it is... A simple concept regarding the behavior and attitudes of the world at large and having the ability to apply one's self to it. Being one with the one and the many and letting the many become the one. Embrace what mind one has, for it is very well epuipped.

               Like I said to know enlightenment is to be enlightened...to entertain doubts is to become the doubt.
               The man enlightened cannot be in denial of himself...for that alone negates his own lnowledge of himself.

            Buddha is a conceptualized term for awake, everyone is buddha. When our eyes are opened and we can sense the world, feel the sensations as they come. Being able to maintain a stability in thought, not thinking against the self. Enlightenment means awareness and it turns on and off all day. When we are work, we know the environment, we are comfortable. We have to create our comfort, ina place that's new. It is about composure, respect and intellectual srategy.

               Your eyes can only be opened when you reach a higher state of conciousness, and only after union with god. Its not something you can do yourself, through will alone.

                  Are your eyes not open now? Are you not aware that you are breathing? Do you not see the computer before you? There are many enlightenments and they all occur in moments.

                        An idea is an enlightenment, depending on how one acts upon the thought. The computer came from an enlightenment, for it bettered our way of living.

            That's odd, 'cause I thought a person named Buddha really existed long ago.
            And I'm sure Jesus existed, just as surely as I know God created the first human being.

               I would love to see proof that buddha existed. Lets see proof that a human woman can be impregnated by an elephant, and give birth out of her side.

                  Oh?  Is that how the story goes?   Wow.  I've only heard about what a great man Buddha supposedly was, and then I looked up online about how he deserted his wife and baby/babies?

                        I read it and studied it.  Research?   You mean, like, go try to debunk something that's obviously so true?   The story in the Bible of creation is the only thing that makes any sense.  Like you said, the story of an elephant impregnating a woman with a "buddha" is the one that makes no sense.
                        
                          When ya add 2 and 2, and it comes out 4, then why would ya try to twist it around to make 3?
