Low view credits

   My earnings page only credits about 47% of my views for all time. I divided the number of views that Hub pages counts by the number that show up on my accounts page.
   
   I thought it was 60%. Is there somewhere else where the views are being counted?

      I don't believe it is stated as a 60-40 split of traffic, but instead a 60-40 split of the time the affiliate codes(yours and HP's) are displayed.  I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm mistaken, Xenonlit.

   I just looked in the help section and it is listed as a 60/40 split. 47% is not even half!

   The performance of our Hubs when they are rotated is not dependent on HP   Earnings rely on the 'audience'. Genuine clicks are measured by 'G'. If you are attracting 'true target audience', ones who are interested in the product, they will be the ones who click on the ad for further investigation. Are you maybe looking at the HP ads program? not sure of the earnings method with that , yet.

   If the 60:40 split relates to time, then there is no guarantee this will correlate with a 60:40 split in views whatsoever. For example, if HP code is displayed during peak times for Internet activity in the US, HP will take far more than 40% of views, even if it only takes 40% of the time.
   
   We are not provided with any statistics of which times are allocated to us and which to HP, so we have no way of knowing what is happening.

   Yep it is based on time - you get 60% of the time and HP gets 40%. We don't know how they choose the time for the split.
   
   The other thing to remember is that just because someone viewed the page does not mean they viewed the ads.  They may have an ad blocker on.
   
   Since there really isn't any way for us to tell whether the stats are accurately reported (and I have no reason to believe that they aren't), it would be nice to have an outside auditor check to make sure all of these things are done on a fair basis.

      You are so right. I have other sites with Google adsense and revenue share and none of them want to tell the truth. They all need to be audited.

         You could always start your own site and get 100% of the Adsense impressions.

   Skear, you're 100% correct. If you felt the 60/40 splits not okay, then why not create your own website to keep all the traffic and earnings.
