Revenue from Ebay

I think HP could allow some revenue from Ebay or vice versa. I am not entirely sure how eBay works on both ends, but it would be nice to receive compensation from winning bids.

    That's my two cents.

I've sold over a thousand dollars of EBay products and that's about what I received in commission.  "Two cents"!  lol  It's a cr*p program compared to Amazon! sad

I would agree with you. I have sold about $500 worth of products from one of my wedding hubs, but I get 36 cents.

Thanks y'all for spreading the word about this. I was feeling like a lazy shcmuck for never bothering to set up an eBay affiliate account. Turns out that instead I can pat myself on the back for making a smart business decision.

Smart move, SAF!  I've wasted time putting the stupid EBay capsules on my hubs and now wasting more time taking them off.  HP needs to be clearer about this program.  I thought it was similar to Amazon, but it isn't.  If you make Amazon sales--even just a few a month--it is much better than using the Ebay program.

I've made about $3 per sale on Ebay and it is rarely anything related to the hub at all.  Just get them to click over to Ebay and I'm not sure how the the commission is calculated, but percentage-wise it seems to have been higher than Amazons.

I don't understand how?  I have a long list of items sold through EBay--over a thousand dollars in all--since November.  Never received a dime other than the pennies counted on a daily basis.  You don't get paid the revenue listed on the sales page, you do know that, don't you?  smile

Ok, I had it wrong.  I just checked the balances and sure enough it is not included.  Then that is most definitely not REVENUE!  Sure do not know the point in putting any ebay ads if it is only going to net a few cents.

I will be removing these wasted Ebay links that probably cut my Amazon sales.

Sure it did.  I had the same item for sale on a hub on both EBay and Amazon and the EBay ad got the sale.  I lost $45 at least by having EBay ads on the page.  I suppose it's okay for those who sell nothing at all, but terrible for those who do. smile

Yep, imagine how I felt when I discovered all those sales I made were for almost nothing.  These EBay products compete with the Amazon products which DO pay a nice commission.  Hmmm, I wonder if HP only gets a few cents out of the deal either?  Something seems fishy to me about the whole thing.

You'll notice the commission is listed on the page, so apparently someone is getting that money.  I wonder how many folks are still waiting on a check for sales they've made, not knowing they won't ever receive one?  Yep, get rid of them as thy will cost you a lot of money if you regularly make sales on your hubs.

This program needs to be addressed by the staff because it is confusing to those used to Amazon.  smile

It looks like HP is making all the commission and taunting us with the numbers?  It looks like Squidoo splits the Ebay commission?

Even Suidoo's figures are a little squirrely according to your link.  Commissions go from a bit over 2% to 5% or so.  Still, it's more transparent than what HP has here.  I advise folks to not use it unless they make few sales on Amazon.

Disappointing because I worked hard promoting hubs with EBAY links on them; thinking that I would get the commission. I even wrote an ebay product hub.
