I have only been hubbing for a month or so, so just starting out. I love writing and do write for a number of top websites and other article sharing communities. I am interested to know the potential of Hubpages. How much are people earning and how many hubs do they have. Appreciate that it is all dependent on the quality of articles and their popularity.
Just looking for an indication as to what it has taken people to earn a reasonable amount on Hubpages. Any information of feedback as to peoples successes or what they have found that has worked / not worked, would be very much appreciated.
What's a reasonable amount though?
For one it may be enough to pay all the bills, for another it may be enough for a cup of coffee once a month.
Relache - that's fantastic! I hadn't come across this yet.
ps - John, quite right...reasonable isn't exactly measurable. It would be nice though to be earning $500 or up a month (that would be reasonable to me). That said, i write because i love writing so any money would be a bonus:)
Keep in mind that some of our incomes have dropped by 80 percent or more in the past month. I will be lucky to break 400. from all sources (hubpages program, amazon, google, ebay) at this point here on hubpages. I think I have made $5 in adsense for the month. Luckily my blog is doing relatively well.
My Adsense has been down by 80% this month as well! I wonder what that is an indication of?
My online earnings are used for my kids' college savings. I have the same amount automatically deducted from my "business account." Unfortunately, my earnings have fallen off significantly since December 2011. Still just enough for me to cover the contributions to 4 college accounts, but cutting it pretty close now.
The answer is nobody knows any more as HubPages haven't posted earnings for the last 5 days!
Thanks for all the responses! I have a much better idea now, having also looked through the 'Top performers'. Interesting that a few of you said that there was a sharp loss of earnings. Does anyone know what that is down to? Has SE traffic dropped also or is it just the revenue?
May and June are my lowest points of the year, so looking at the overall pattern for the last (almost) six years on HubPages, I'm seeing the standard traffic and earnings patterns for this time of year for me.

My aim at hubpages is to earn an average of $500 or more per month in a years time. Right now I have 165 hubs and earn between $20-$30. I wanted to know if I can achieve my goal in a years time or less if I concentrate on keyword and good topic selection and don't do any backlinking.

Hi All:The other day, I came accross a page on HubPages.com that showed a list of several successful hubbers, and listed their average monthly Adsense earnings, the number of hubs they currently have, and even had a graph showing the growth of their account since it was created ... but I can't seem...

In a word: adverts! I was just looking at some older hubs and realised I have lots of Amazon and eBay ads alongside the text or in blocks. I remember doing this now having seen some past high-earner Hubbers having lots of ads on their hubs. I admit I copied the technique thinking maybe this was the...

Do you find successful hubbers to be snobby?I don't talk to many hubbers, except in answering questions or on the apprenticeship forum. But have you found successful hubbers to be snobs? In posts I have read, some of acted like they are above other hubbers, and even above Hubpages...
