He will only have himself to blame for 4 years, what will he do?

Economy is already showing signs of improvement, unemployment is falling slightly consumer confidence is up, the country will be fine under another 4 years of Obama, when you take over a plummeting economy you can't expect it to improve immediately, it takes time and that is staring to come to fruition. I studied economics and worked as an economist, this perfectly fits the Keynesian model so economically I am sure.  Culturally and morally is another matter, I like the cultural action Obama is taking, I know many do not.

I agree with you and our Country is bouncing back. Anyone who believed it was going to bounce back over night should educated themselves a bit more. smile

As much money as they are printing, you would think they wouldn't have to educate themselves and eat less.

Everyone I talk to says he is the worst President ever, worse than Jimmy Carter they say. Everyone is broke, the price of food and gas are going up and wages are the same. Can the country afford to have a President keep printing money at that rate just for meager if any real benefit? Our great great great grandchildren wont be able to even pay the interest on that.

The president does not print money. Nor does any governmental agency under his control. In fact, the only money the United States government is responsible for printing is coinage. Further still, even though I do think Obama is worthless for other reasons, Obama did not create the current system of fractional reserve banking to begin with. He has many problems, but these are not amongst them.

So you would disagree if he spent a trillion for economic boosts or packages, if he could do that, which you seem to suggest he cannot?

I am old enough to remember the stagflation of the 1970s. Looks like we are in for a bad few more years, regardless of who gets elected. Obama seems to have not the slightest intent to do what is necessary to allow the economy to improve. He is following the path set by the Japanese after their economy imploded at the end of the 1990s. They still have not really recovered, in spite of rock-bottom interest rates and huge government debt and spending. Four more years of Obama would be four years of economic misery.

I don't see how we can.  Look at what has happened since he came into office?  It is unprecedented, and not in a good way.

The country cannot sustain this.  It may change things dramatically also, many are talking about that.  These first four years, some are saying, he has been "on his best behavior."  He is trying to fundamentally change things.  He is succeeding in that I think.

When I think of what Obama, Pelosi, Reid believe in, in the way of ideas and their philosophy about things, that is what scares me.

You can have tons of money and support and a following even, but if the ideas themselves are "broken" or don't work, the "thing" will fail. The thing in question is our country.  It cannot sustain these broken ideas.

Sometimes, I almost think its purposeful.  Then you have to "rescue" said situation.  This is part of the change in question.  People aren't thinking well anymore, generally speaking.  That scares me to death.  It scares me when people I thought I knew, buy into what is being told to them.  I don't know what to say except, please please please, make sure you don't just believe everything you hear.  Do the research yourself.  A lot is at stake.

The question is really how much longer can the US survive with our congress.  They are the ones making decisions this whole time.   Why would a person have all the power being on the job for only four years maximum 8.

Obama is the Puppet to lobby us.

We need to make the Puppeteers accountable.

      I'm just saying.

For me, I am thankful for the balance of powers set in place.  It is partly what I think will be "gone after" next...  or I wouldn't be surprised.  When they make decisions for less government instead of more government, I am for that.  There is a never ending stream of new laws coming through, and we have too many already.

This should be a wake up call to freedom loving Americans everywhere.

Woah woah woah...since when is everything Obama's fault? How about Congress? That hot mess of a group hasn't been able to pass anything worth anyone's attention because they are all bickering like small children.

There are a lot of agencies and groups that need to be held accountable for their actions. We cannot pile them on our President just because he's in that position. His word is not the end all be all, it's called checks and balances and that is why the blame cannot solely be placed on him.

In the private sector "blaming everyone else" is reason for showing them the door. In the private sector you are hired to get it done. They have a box for complaints that the boss uses to find out who to fire.

Well then most of the private sector should be fired, they are the ones who failed the economy created the housing bubble and spent recklessly leaving the American people to prevent them all from going under and destroying the economy for the next fifty years in one clean swoop.

Economically it's quite apparent that you don't know what you are talking about. Printing money is not up to the president, the national debt tripled under Reagan and exploded under Bush, yes when bad economic policy gets you into a hole stimulus is required to get out of it (basic economics) so the debt will have to be increased until the US gets out of the recession which was created by Bush but none of that is Obama's fault.

So its bad if "they do it" but its "good" if obama repeats the same thing and blames someone else?

I guess I need to educate myself more and everyone will just have to start eating a lot less. Do you think we can all survive another 4 years of obama?

I think Obama has been a good President and his policies have been reasonable and moderate.
