      ***Democrats – including then Senator Barack Obama, took over both Houses of Congress in 2007 and dominated the legislative agenda for the final two years of the second Bush term.  The Bush administration had little influence over Congress due to the overwhelming majority Democrats had at that time – a majority that was furthered in 2008, and continued until 2010 – meaning Democrats dominated Congress for four of the last six years – and to this day, continue to control both the White House and the United the United States Senate.

   Anyone who looks at history can tell you that America was and has NEVER been for the people, of the people or by the people.
   
   Equal rights in this country still hasn't happened and continues to be a problem. On top of that, we have a government which continues to spew out lie after lie, which can be stretched all the way back to the inception of America.
   
   America was founded for freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, not for specific individual, but for all people who choose to live here. However, having said that, politicians continue to spew forth the out right lie that America is a land of equality, because when you look at all the problems, equality is among them.
   
   It's sad that more people haven't paid closer attention.

      Well, you, Cagsil have brought up some very good points. Now I am not the smartest book on the shelf, BUT, I am just kicking around some thing that, Well, Kinda give me the Willy's.
      
      I try to be a thinker and do research. I can find many answers for different Issues.
      
      But, the main one I can't get straight is, WHY, do we want or have to change what has taken us 203, years to get.
      
      Just what is it I am missing.
      
      Why have all the Jobs gone. I was under the impression we were doing good.
      
      What is wrong with The Constitution that seems to be rubbing some people the wrong way.
      
      Why has the Media gone quite.
      
      What has happened to The American Way.
      
      Perhaps, I am just too OLD to understand. I am going on 70.
      
      These are the kind of talks, I like to have and that is why I like Hubs.
      
      Yesterday on one reply, the person ended with, How much did you get paid for this.
      
      I am not here to make a dime.
      
      I enjoy People and see if I can learn something, or, maybe pass something on.
      
      I look forward to your responses.

         I'm sure.
         That's good.
         Simply because if change doesn't come and America as a whole doesn't adapt, then growth will stagnate and the present problems will never be addressed, similar to the fact that homeless and poverty hasn't been properly addressed ever.
         I'm not sure.
         Because, people preferred to have price over value. The value of products which are acceptable are now lower because US standards were and have always been higher than any other developed country. And, that standard came with a price, which began to get too high because government refused to address the Economy in the correct manner.
         I'm sure. There's plenty of distraction and misinformation in this country to choke a horse.
         Too many morons attempting to interpret it.
         Media gone quiet? Are you serious? Media gives consumers what media chooses to give consumers. Media isn't about giving the consumers what the consumers want. Never has been.
         It's lost in translation because of the willful ignorant choose to be difficult about learning.
         Well, happy birthday(belated). I'm sure you'll get it sooner or later.
         Good for you.
         Yeah, that happens from time to time.
         I wouldn't worry about it.

   Increased tax breaks for wealthy, increased military spending, almost certain War with Iran.
   Do it all without Democratic input: Democrats, who cares?
   
   Tell me again....how exactly is this change?
   Sounds JUST like 2000-2008.

         We're not at war with Libya. Never were. Healthcare was done just like Bush did tax cuts.--and it benefits a heck of a lot more people.  tit for tat....you don't like the game, don't play.
         
         Or say something when your guys do it.
         Yes, almost certain war with Iran...haven't you been listening to the R's? They are called the American Likud party.
         
         Not only war with Iran but while they're cutting from Americans, they're giving Israel more money for their Iron Dome. And want aid to Israel to be a permanent part of OUR budget!

   My answer would be a no. There seems to be many outside interests interfering with their ability to do what's best for large numbers of Americans. Even those with the best of intentions going in as freshmen/women get steamrolled on important issues or they assimilate into the status quo.
