I've isolated a handful of hubs that have had a low average time on page on GA. Is it a good idea to rid of them immediately, or track them over a few weeks to see if there are fluctuations?
I know there are different opinions on this, but before I would delete them, I would make sure all of your titles, headings and tags are descriptive as to what the content is about.
Have you checked your search queries to see how people are finding your page?
Does your content match the queries?
Can you add a relevant video that would possibly keep viewers on the pages longer?
Unless you feel the hubs are beyond help, I would give them a few tweaks and wait and see. Search results are so unpredictable right now, it's hard to tell.
Thanks rebekah, its so hard these days to know what is the best thing to do, but I will try and do some further tweaking first.
I think that one of the problems with low traffic, is what G does send can be from some pretty random key word strings for that particular article, so it proves not to be what the reader was looking for and they bounce out pretty quickly
I applied for a job the other day and it asked me to write a short piece using SEO... and I wasn't sure what to do, exactly! Dam Google...

One of the things I try and improve is my average visit duration. I've moved it from about 35 seconds to close to a minute. What do you consider a good Average Visit Duration? Is it worth culling some hubs that seem to get a low AVD?

It's an often asked question "Where did my hub go?", "Why doesn't Google love me anymore?" after celebrating a first page result.Source

I thought that the questions would be adding to the hub, thereby making the hub rank better for certain terms. However, that's not the case from what I see. The questions show on the page but not the answers, so the content of the answer is not really on the page, therefore it does not add to the...

I would like to ask.....In your experience would you prefer to have one or two keywords that are highly targeted? Or would you try to have those targeted ones plus as many less targeted keywords as you can think of?Is there any downside to having loads of keywords for a page?

Since this feature was deleted, HP staff have told us that this would be reinstated. It does not matter to all of us, but I know that in my case the readers find it very helpful. A former staff member told me last year that this would become a reality in June of 2021. That did not happen. If it is...
